Oceanfront Cottage with great views and beautiful sunsets. Just bring your clothes, food, and enjoy. The cottage is on a quiet secluded street. The backyard opens up to a large wooded area. Very private location. It is a perfect spot for families or those who want to get in touch with nature.

Beachstone Cottage is a spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation home, that has been lovingly restored and decorated with modern day conveniences in mind. The main level features a sun porch entrance, well equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace looking out to sea, seperate dining room area, bedroom, bath and laundry area. The large master suite on the second floor features ocean views, a large L-shape couch, queen bed, Jacuzzi bath and very large flat screen TV.

Conveniently located on St. Margaret's Bay, just 5 minutes from Peggy's Cove lighthouse. Close to many restaurants, galleries, sightseeing opportunities and a myriad of outdoor activities. Groceries and most 'city' amenities are a 15 minute drive away.

Beachstone Cottage is a great place to base your explorations from. We are within an hour's drive from such scenic areas as Halifax, Mahone Bay, Chester, Lunenburg and the Annapolis Valley.

Fantastic VRBO! We absolutely loved our stay at this quiet, charming home on a beautiful little cove. Our family of 6 was very comfortable here. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. The property owner also went out of his way to answer questions we had beforehand.

My fiancé and a few friends were in the area for a wedding. We were so impressed by the beautiful views and well-kept landscape of the property. The inside of the home was very spacious and housed us all comfortably. The host, Ken, was very responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We would definitely come back if we are in the area again!!

Comfortable Cottage In Convenient Location

This cottage served our group of 4 adults very well. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The location was conveniently close to the area attractions and restaurants that we frequented. Beautiful House

Visiting from Central Massachusetts, US…. The house was beautiful in a perfect location!!! The view of the bay was great. The back garden was awesome, relaxing and quiet. The patio was great and came with a gas grill. We were 5 minutes from Peggy’s Cove. The accommodations were great and look forward to visiting again!!!

The kitchen of this house has been beautifully renovated. The bedrooms upstairs have beautiful water views and comfortable beds. One small problem was quickly solved by a neighbor.

Perfect

Beautiful house with an amazing view. Quiet area, nice area to walk around. The house had everything you needed for your stay. We used the Kitchen often for meals, the bedrooms were perfect for everyone to have their own room for when we needed downtime after a long day of seeing the sights. Close to Peggy's Cove and many other attractions. Amazing time spent here, we were sad to leave but hope to come back sometime in the future.

Good location for all we were doing. Nice cottage that was clean and older but maintained nicely. Good instructions on getting in the house. Kitchen nicely supplied but needed pitchers for making drinks like tea or a pitcher of water. We bought two of these and left them. Beds were comfortable and we just used the two upstairs bedrooms. Carpet in lower bedroom needs to be replaced as it had lots of stains. TV and sofa upstairs in the bedroom were where we hung out the most. Played some board games in the living room that were supplied for nice touch. Close to some nice restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend as a nice place to stay to tour this area of Nova Scotia.

Wedding/ vacation

We were there for a wedding at Oceanstone Resort, but wanted all 6 of us to stay together. This place was perfect! Less than 10 mins away from venue, Peggy's Cove was just down the street, Lunenburg (Bluenose home) was about an hour and Halifax just about 30 minutes away. House has beautiful views with absolutely spectacular sunsets. It was clean, well equipped, with a great space for us to gather comfortably at the end of the day. We would all love to come back and stay!

Hello ken, your property was lovely, clean and well maintained, and had everything we needed . However, it was well used you could do with an upgrade in furniture, particularly in the living area, and perhaps a dehumidifier to deal with the mustiness. (Also the plug in the bathtub downstairs doesn’t work.)Also, I would like to suggest the trimming of the bush (or if possible, removing it )in the front would open the lovely view, and also a couple of chairs on the front porch again to enjoy the view. After all, this is why most of us choose a property on the sea.All of this is small potatoes. Your property was lovely and suited us well. Thank you for opening up your home.

Spacious and well equipped

We enjoyed our stay in this very pretty cove. The house was large and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the linens soft. We appreciated the sunroom where we kept all our beach gear. The kitchen is new, just watch your head in the overhead vent! The two upstairs bedrooms are large with nice views of the cove and sunset. The only downfall is that the living and dining area are very musty. The one asthmatic in the group could not go in these rooms. We were only four people, so we ate in the kitchen and gathered in the living area in the principle bedroom.

We had a great week at this lovely house, which was perfecly situated for exploring the area, including Halifax to the north and the lovely fishing villages and beaches to the south (Lunenberg and Chester were our favourites). It was also ideal for more local walking opportunities (loved the trail from Prospect Cove) and in particular, popping to Peggy's Cove later in the evenings (5 minute drive away) when most of the other tourists had gone. We loved the quiet location (could hear the waves lapping onto the rocks - how wonderful is that?!!) and the uniterrupted view straight onto Hacketts Cove was beautiful, especially the sunsets in the evening. The house was well equipped to meet all our needs (travelling as a family) and our two girls loved the garden. We would definiately recommend this property to family and friends!

Great stay in Hackett's Cove

My wife and I had a great stay at the Beachstone Cottage. Stayed four nights and every day marveled at the view from the house. Nicely situated to enjoy several nearby areas. Provided useful instructions for the home. Although we stayed at the end of July and early August, place was very comfortably cool without use of air conditioning. We had no issues with use of well water. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to others or stay there again.
