Wonderful executive home steps from a gorgeous beach 30 night stay required!

Our beach retreat is a beautiful home that can make your vacation very special. Only steps from one of the best beaches in Hawaii, you will feel the ocean breeze surround you. The home is treetop level which provides views of the ocean and of the Koolau mountains. This executive home boasts almost 3000 sq. feet of living area including 2 decks. The house consists of a large master suite with Jacuzzi tub, 2 other bedrooms and a den used for another bedroom which faces the mountain views. There are two and half baths and laundry room for your convenience. The kitchen is expansive that has nook and family room all connected. Right outside the door of that area is a large deck that faces the ocean for cool breezes. There is an elegant dining room with a table that seats 10 for those that want to entertain or just enjoy a quiet meal.

Waimanalo Beach is a very special place and our comfortable home just makes it even better. Come and stay and see for yourself.

Waimanalo Beach House

We loved staying here for our Hawaii vacation! Rena’s house is lovely & it is perfect for 2 couples traveling together. We had plenty of room to spread out. Waimanalo Beach is a beautiful, uncrowded beach & is just a quick walk from the house. The house is nice & clean. Plenty of towels & other amenities are provided. Even beach chairs & boogie boards! Rena is delightful to work with. We knew if there was anything we needed all we had to do was ask. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo nui loa, Rena. ~ Sylvia, Bill, Deb & Dave

Gone to the beach.

We have stayed with Rena twice now. Each time has been a tremendous treasure of great memories facilitated by having a great place to "call home." Rena is great, responsive and always available. The property is generously sized, furnished and great for families. The location is a few steps from the best beach in Oahu, and we went there daily. We will return to stay with Rena in the future for sure.

Confortable home - just two minutes walk from a amazing beach

Rena's home is in a great location for going to the different parts of the island and very close to the beautiful Waimanalo beach. We enjoyed two weeks in her wonderful clean property. Rena provide information on the local sights, made us feel at home. There are beach chairs, boogie boards and towels for guests. There is no AC but open to nice ocean breeze. Great family beach house

This was the best VRBO I've stayed at. We went to Hawaii for our nephew's graduation from law school there. I picked this house because it was near the beach, not too far from Honolulu but away from the hubbub. The house big enough for six adults comfortably. We especially enjoyed the spacious lanai. We had most of our meals at the house and were happy that there were plenty of pots and pans and good knives(which we've not found in any other VRBO). Rena met us when we arrived and clued us into everything and then we did not see her for the rest of our stay, which to us is a good host. She did leave us a cooler by the door to use for a party we had for the family for the graduation. We loved being so close to such a great beach, which we referred to as "our beach" because there were so few or no other people usually there. We tried to get up early and out to the beach to see the sunrise. Thanks, Rena, we hope to return someday.

Beautiful property just minutes walk from the beach.

Rena shared her lovely home with us March 9-16, 2019. We were able to walk to the Waimanalo beach in just a few minutes. No AC was necessary due to the Tradewinds. Three generations shared the house - plenty of space inside and outside on the lanais. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Rena went out of her way to make us feel at home and to provide information on the local sights. We will definitely stay here again!

Grand home steps from beach

Rena is a thoughtful hostess. The home is as pictured, well appointed, spacious and welcoming with a separate entrance. The lanai is gorgeous. Especially suited for large families and groups. The location is perfect. Steps from the beach to catch your sun or moon rise. There are beach chairs, boards and towels for the guests. Grocery is a short drive away and cafe a short walk. In all a wonderful home, by a thoughtful host.

Just Great All Round

Had wonderful two week stay in this well equipped, clean property, with its friendly and helpful owners who live on the ground floor. Nothing was too much trouble. Rena very kindly did a supermarket shop for our arrival, so all basic foods were there for our first day. It is situated very close to the beach and in a good location for travelling around the lovely island. We chose this property as it was spacious for each of our 3 children to have rooms of their own and close to a beach, and only a 10 minute drive from our friends who we had come to visit. A holiday to remember for the rest of our lives.

Beautiful, and so close to the great beach!

We stayed there in April and really enjoyed the location and the house! It is located in a quiet small community, literally a minute from the long sand beach with hardly any people on it. It is the place just like in movies where someone runs along the edge of water for miles. The beach had waves suitable for fun with boogie boards or just playing in the waves. Being that close to the beach makes it easy to just go there for 15 minutes or 3 hours, or come back to the house for a sunblock etc. The house is big, roomy and open to nice ocean breeze. It is equipped with everything we needed - full kitchen, BBQ, beach boards/chairs/towels. It is looking exactly as it shows on pictures here. The owners, who live below (the house has 2 levels with separate entries) were fantastic and made us feel at home! They helped us to find good local places to check out, eat or shop, and were truly welcoming! We are thankful to Rena and Marshall for opportunity to stay in their beautiful home so close to a wonderful beach!

Great Family Vacation

My wife & I, and our 2 daughters (19 & 23) stayed here 8 nights in the latter part of Feb 2017. We really can't say enough great things about the house & it's owner (Rena). The house was very clean, beautiful, and alot more spacious than what you get from the pictures. And the pictures on VRBO were very accurate to real-life. The location is fantastic. It's in a nice, quiet neighbourhood - just a 1 minute (at the most) walk to the amazing beach; 30 minute drive to Honolulu; many scenic lookouts / hiking trails within 15 minutes to the South; Kualoa Ranch & that area just 30 minutes to the North; 2 miles to the town of Waimanalo (for groceries and things), etc. We found it VERY central to everywhere we wanted to go. However, you DEFINITELY need to rent a car (with GPS!) if you're staying in this area. The Waimanalo Beach is simply amazing. Miles of beautiful white sand, great beach for swimming, and hardly anyone on it! We visited MANY beaches on the Island, and this was probably one of the nicest, if not the best. And Rena had all the beach supplies you'd need: beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, surf board, cooler, and snorkeling gear. Rena was alot of help with everything. She gave us tips on where to go & see; provided her grocery savings card to save us money; and made sure we had all the basic supplies we needed. Relaxing week at the beach

Our family of four stayed at Rena & Marshall's great beach home for a week. The hospitality was fantastic, Rena made sure our needs were met. We dropped our stuff off at the house early while she was tidying up some last minute things but was happy to let us do so. We went for a late lunch and came back to enjoy the late afternoon on the beautiful beach minutes away. The cute little "Nalo Town" was in a great location for us to go to the different parts of the island, and come back to some peace and quiet. The drive to Waikiki was decent, about 30-40 minutes, and to cross up to the north shore was about an hour or so. The house had all the conveniences we needed including a grill and full kitchen for the few dinners we made at home. The rental is the full upstairs of the home. Rena & Marshall's live downstairs and have an additional unit to rent out that is also downstairs. We rarely saw the other renters during our week. Rena was very accommodating and we look forward to future trips to Oahu, and another stay in Waimanalo at this lovely home.

We enjoyed our stay with Rena and Marshall. The location was great and very relaxing. Rena had all the amenities a person could think of for frolicking at the beach. Their home is very inviting and comfortable. We spent many evenings on the lanai discussing our days adventures. Rena's home is centrally located to many sightseeing areas and activities. You can get to anywhere on the island in under an hour. Rena was helpful in giving advice on various island activities and we would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting Oahu.

We enjoyed our trip so very much. Rena and Marshall are wonderful host to a lovely vacation home. The beach is a very short walk away and is incredible and with all the things we needed to enjoy it at our disposal too (chairs, umbrella, boogie board's snorkel gear) The sunset from the Lanai are great and thanks to the fully stocked house our tea drinker had electric teapot and we even had a coffee bean grinder to make our amazing Kona coffee we bought at a local restaurant that Rena recommended....which was so yummy!!! You can't go wrong with this one. We will definitely return the next time we visit Oahu. Thanks again Rena and Marshall.

Amazing Location!

Rena's home was an amazing place to stay! The beach was only a block away, easily accessed by a quiet path. I traveled with my whole family and they loved the big waves at the beach and the soft sandy beach. When not at the beach, we loved Rena's large home. The home had plenty of fans to keep it cool. It also had huge decks and an amazing whirlpool tub in the master bathroom. Rena was readily available to help with anything we needed. She has a great personality and a willingness to help.

Great place to stay!

I stayed at Rena's house for about a week. Was very comfortable. About a 3-4min walk to waimanalo beach. Beach is hardly used. Few people. Almost no people in morning hours. Rena supplied boogie boards, beach chairs. Greats decks. This is local people this the area, not resorty or touristy. We did need to drive to closest stores. It's in a neighborhood, so not close to much except the beach and a few food stands and a convenience store not too far. My two kids each had their own nice bedroom. Hot tub and bathroom in me and my wife's room. Rena is very nice and concerned about her guests. Some posts about how noisy it is. Remember, it's in a neighborhood, so that was the only noise we experienced. I would recommend it.

Family memories

Our whole family enjoyed the beauty, comfort, size and views of Beach Haven. Something for everyone. My husband & I travelled with my brother, 2 nieces(19 & 21 years old) & my 80 year old mom. Beach only 2 houses away, easy & quick enough for my mom to walk to frequently, even while carrying her beach chair. The most beautiful stretch of beach just a short walk away. We all couldn't get enough of the sunrise/sunset views & the moon reflecting off the ocean from large covered lanai. Slept wonderfully on the king sleep number bed while waking to the sound of the waves from the incredible master bedroom. Huge master bath. Great views of the beautiful Ko'olau mtns. From the large sunroom. My brother was very comfortable making this his room. He slept well on the good quality futon. The eat in kitchen was more than large enough to accommodate 6 adults cooking and gathering at the same time. Well stocked and great quality kitchen & with a view of the ocean from the sink we all "wanted" to wash dishes!! Thank you Marshall & Rena for being wonderful hosts!

Great location!

My family LOVED staying in this house. Even though there were 6 adults, we had plenty of room to spare so that we weren't bumping into each other. The house is absolutely beautiful, and I appreciated the care that Rena took to give us information (like how to get to the beach, where to buy groceries, etc.). Everything was clean and accessible. The beach is only about a minute away, and we enjoyed going there to see the sun rise. The sunrise is also visible from the main balcony. We enjoyed quite a few hours just lounging on the balcony. The property is quiet and, like the house, very well-maintained. We hope to be able to stay there again in the future.

Wonderful Time!

This house is wonderful, there is so much room in this house my two year old grandson was in heaven running all over the place. The house is decorated very well, a beautifully carved dinning room table and desk in the master bedroom, little knickknacks everywhere, a large kitchen.. well equipped.. and a great area for watching TV, the bedrooms were very comfortable and when the trade winds came up very cool. The master bedroom opened up to the lanai and we had fun sitting out there in the evenings. The property was very crisp and clean at all times, the pictures are very accurate in showing how well the house is maintained. The beach is very close to the house, a few steps and there you are, at a beautiful secluded beach, very calm, my five year old granddaughters first time in the ocean and she had no problems with the surf, she did get stung by a jellyfish and the owner was great in helping us with what to do. The owners were very helpful with a lot of local information and made sure we were happy at all times, she even brought up some toys for my grandson to play with. They also recommended some local restaurants and one of them, ono steak and shrimp shack, was our favorite, a little hole in the wall but great food and low cost. They also have plenty of beach equipment for us to use and we took full advantage of it. All in all I would recommend this house to anyone who appreciates a clean big house with great owners that want to please there tenants. Mahalo for a great stay and for being great to deal with, we hope to see you again soon!

The Beach haven

We loved our stay at Rena and Marshall's house. The location is perfect, ocean and mountain views!! House has everything you need! Rena also let us use her barbecue! and play volleyball in the backyard. You can get to North Shore or Waikiki in 1/2 hour. Waimanolo beach is a top ten beach in the world! Glorious!! Hopefully, we will get ther again!!

Absolutely wonderful

When I found out I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Hawaii I took it with both hands and it was so much more than I imagined. The Island is large enough that depending on what kind of holiday you are looking Oahu can cater for it. If your looking for the hustle and bustle of a city with its nightlife, designer shops, fancy restaurants then you can travel into Honolulu or if your looking to explore the island, experience the traditional culture and soak up the amazing scenery then you can do that too.(that's my kind of holiday) For me Beach Haven was the perfect place as it was far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough should you wish to travel in. The house was amazing. The beach so close you could wander down with your cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. Rena and Marshall are such lovely people and genuinely wanted to make sure I had a good holiday, they were available to answer any questions, tell you where to get the best deals for your food shopping, give suggestions on things to do and see that aren't in the tourist guides (if you want to go to a really good Luau ask Rena). I recommend Beach Haven and If I get the chance to go again I would stay there Thank you for making my holiday special Aloha

I have never done a Review - but I feel that I must on this occasion! A truly beautiful beach - quite staggering - and only a 2 minute stroll from the apartment - and I stroll slowly! A wonderful place to stay - in real Oahu. Clean, roomy and well equipped - an ideal base from which to explore the island. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu - but near enough to visit the city and other tourist attractions. As for Rena and Marshall - such gentle and accommodating hosts! We will back - for sure!

Little Bit of Heaven

Just got back to Georgia after spending a fabulous week at Rena and Marshall's beach house. Our daughter is doing a internship at Sea Life Park and this was the perfect location for us as her house was only 2 streets over. The house was huge and beautifully decorated. It was a great change from the hustle and crowds in Honolulu. There is a huge lanai from which you can view the pacific. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away and most of the time you have the beach to yourself. The area is very quite and on the more beautiful side of the island. Rena was always close by if we needed anything. Could have stayed there forever.
