Beach front

Fabulous location. Condo was the best rentals we have used in our 20 years vacating in the Destin/Miramar area. We’ll be back!!

Convenient Location

Our unit has been updated and was done very nicely. The furniture was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils. Mainsail was very convenient, and the covered parking was a plus. Only drawback is the lack of a luggage cart for unloading. There were two carts, great for groceries but a luggage cart would be nice to have.

Property and unit were very nice. The Beach Set Up daily was helpful. Also the belongings in the closet were also an asset to take to the beach. Kitchen was nicely stocked. One issue that was not taken care of is we put in a work order for a microwave that did not work. Never heard anything about it all week. Had a toddler with us, so no microwave was an issue.

We’ve stayed at Mainsail before, but this trip in regard to accommodations was definitely lackluster. The communication with property management was easy and thorough from booking to check out. That’s the best part about this particular rental. Unfortunately housekeeping did not prepare our unit well, as the floors were dirty, couch had visible sand, and one of the beds had tons of hair in the sheets. Additionally there was a strong musty smell when entering the unit. A significant amount of mold was on and around the master bath vent with mold also on the shades in the master bedroom. Two of the showers did not drain well to the point of standing ankle deep in water in a just a few minutes. If you are above 6’ tall, you will not be able to stand in the master shower and wash your hair bc of ceiling height. The updates in the kitchen were nice and having an ice maker was convenient. Yes, I could have called to ask for clean sheets and to have housekeeping come redo a bed, but with no safe in the unit we did not want to put any hours of our vacation on hold to meet housekeeping. Just super disappointed for the money spent and in comparison to other places we’ve stayed the last 30 years in the area.
