Beautiful Ocean View Home on Neptune: Elegance at the Beach

Bring the family and enjoy our beautiful house at the beach!

Relax on the deck and watch a sunset after exploring all that San Diego and Orange county have to offer. We are a short walk away from several wonderful local beaches and close to many world class surfing areas while centrally located for a number of theme parks including Legoland (15 min), Disneyland (45 min), SeaWorld (25 min), San Diego Zoo (35 min), and Wild Animal Park (45 min). We are also close to many top golf courses (Aviara, Encinitas Ranch, Torrey Pines) and any number of outdoor experiences such as hiking and biking. Also located within walking distance are many wonderful restaurants and small town shops.

The house has a very relaxed, spacious feel and is well appointed. The master bedroom has a California king four-poster bed, west-facing views and at night, you can hear the surf crash. Bedroom 2 has a California king bed as does Bedroom 3. The 4th bedroom has a pull out queen. The house includes many amenities such as games for the kids, use of boogie boards for the beach, bicycles, books for your reading enjoyment, high speed Wi-Fi, HD TV, and full-size washer and dryer. The house is pet-friendly and has an enclosed back yard for your canine companions.

Minimum stay is 5 days.
During the Christmas and New Year holidays minimum stay is 7 days.
Discounts for stays 2 weeks (15%) or longer (20% for 4 weeks; 25% for 31 days) are given. Please inquire.

The house has been approved as a short-term rental property for 4 bedrooms, maximum occupancy 8, and 4 on-property vehicle parking spaces. Additional guests permitted upon request.

Great Beach House

Lovely, warm home with everything you would want for a terrific beach vacation. Super comfortable for larger families and close to Legoland as well as some great beaches! We had a wonderful experience there!

This beautiful home with gorgeous views of the ocean was the perfect place for our family gathering. Close to restaurants and shopping and walking distance to Encinitas’ Moonlight Beach. Highly recommend.

Perfect family abode

Loved the area!! We have never stayed in Encinitas before and we all fell in love with it!! So many fun shops and restaurants to walk to and loved the beach access that is in walking distance also!! The house was full of amenities and sits perfectly so you can see the ocean from the front deck!! Our family loves our stay!!

Our family stayed at this vacation home, it was perfect. The upstairs had an amazing master suite, with a view of the ocean. The kitchen was so easy to work in, and spotless clean. This home was way more than what we expected, will definitely be back.

Neptune getaway

We loved our stay. This house is spacious and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet. The upstairs deck has great views of the ocean. The stairs and driveway are very steep so not for everyone. We will be back.

The best vacation ever!

This house was beautiful! The bedrooms were large, the kitchen had everything you could ever need. We spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the ocean. There was plenty of seating on the deck with a lovely big table and a fire pit we used at night. The location was perfect and we walked to the beach every day.

Wonderful home in perfect location

The home is even better than the pictures, with large comfortable rooms, a wonderful back patio with hot tub, and a great view of the ocean from the lovely large second level balcony with a fire pit. The garage is also full of everything you could need for the beach. Highly recommend!

4th of July week

Our stay was quiet and relaxing, we loved the location it was so close to all stores and restaurants and the beach. The water in Southern California is the best in my opinion. The home was absolutely perfect with all the amenities needed for our stay. The fact that it is pet friendly home was just the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to experience a small coast town vibe…

Warm, Comfy Stay with All Amenities

I can't recommend this property more highly. Clean, comfy, warm and homey, this house made my family feel like we were in our own home. This is not a fancy, high-end, modern beach house. It is a warm family home, with games, bikes, beach equipment, and all kinds of fun stuff for you to use during your stay. The owner is professional and prompt in her replies, answering all questions in a timely manner. The property is well-maintained and comfy, with a neat small backyard and a big open deck with a view of the water. The walk to the beach is about 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this property. The price is right and the property is perfect.

Felt like home. Everything was provided that one might need. The beds and bedding were extra comfortable. Everything was very clean. I padded around with white socks on and they stayed white! Communication was easy with owner. Loved the fireplace on the deck. Hot tub and grill all clean and functioned perfectly. Easy simple instructions for TVs. Beach toys available. Board games and books. Plenty of dishes and dining table for the family. Thank you!

We stayed at Diane and Dan’s home for a month and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. They were wonderful hosts—very responsive, communicative, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The house was spotless, well stocked, and incredibly comfortable. This is not your typical vacation rental; it truly feels like a home away from home.The backyard was amazing, and our dogs absolutely loved having the freedom to go in and out through the doggie door. From the front living room and deck, we enjoyed hearing and seeing the ocean, which made mornings and evenings especially relaxing.Although it was just the two of us most of the time, the home offered plenty of space when our kids and grandkids came to visit. We loved being able to walk to Beacons or Grandview for the beautiful sunset, and having restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance was a huge plus.We would highly recommend this home and sincerely hope to return in the future.

5 star beach home!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home. You can tell when the owner truly loves a home when you walk in, and this home had that vibe. We were there as a multigenerational family on vacation and all had enough space to be together or separate as needed. The first level enters from the garage with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and access to the paved yard with table tennis and a basketball hoop perfect for the kids to be outside for fun. There are (pretty steep) steps up to the 2nd level which has two living areas, dining room, kitchen, half bath, main bed/bath and access to the deck with ocean views. The main bedroom also has access to that amazing deck. At night we left the glass doors open to fall asleep to the sound of the crashing waves. The two things we had trouble with were spotty Internet and cable, especially on the lower level. We had to use our hotspot while working from home and sometimes the tv would randomly freeze. And second, there are pesky ants in the kitchen and downstairs bathrooms. Staying at previous beach homes in the area, we know this is something that all homes there battle with so we just did our best to prevent them enjoying our food and smushing them whenever we caught them walking around. Not a deal breaker by any means. Also, if you are beach people like us, this home has everything you need for a nice beach day- sand toys, boogie boards, wetsuits, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. The only thing that could be added in the home are plastic wear- plastic bowls, plates, cups and eatery. With kids eating there too, it was a little frightening with them using breakable dishes and glasses. Either way, the home was amazing and we’d love the chance to come back next year!

Felt like visiting family (in the best way)

Thank you Diane and Don for sharing your incredibly appointed home. We felt at home here as soon as we arrived. The evidence of your warmth could be felt throughout the house from the National Park gallery downstairs to the well read bookshelves all over. We were able to live here in the most comfortable everyday way. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook most of our meals (so helpful during the pandemic). And the views from the deck were spectacular. We didn't miss not being able to enjoy the bars and restaurants of Encinitas simply because we could relax outside with gorgeous sunsets every night. I hope we are able to return again soon.

Fall Break

We loved our stay in Leucadia! I would agree with the other reviews. The pictures of this house do not show how nice and cozy it is and they have everything you could possibly need for your beach vacation. The only downside was the wifi. My husband needed to work during our stay and the wifi was not strong enough for him to be on video calls. There are several remote offices in the area, so it was an easy fix. We loved the Leucadia/Encinintas/Carlsbad area! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Comfortable house with lots of room indoors and out

We had a great time staying here - particularly enjoying the large deck and the backyard. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we were able to do lots of complex cooking. Lots of good restaurants and coffee shops walkable nearby. The air conditioner was welcome in the heat wave while we were there.
