Imagine sitting on your front porch in a rocking chair, listening to the waves crashing on the beach. This lovingly restored and beautifully appointed, 1970’s beach box will transport you back to the good ol’ days while providing you all the amenities you desire in your home away from home in the Outer Banks.

This three-bedroom, two-bath cottage is located just down the street from beach access and sits only 4 houses away from the ocean. Enjoy a view of the waves from the front porch!

Equipped with cable, WIFI, flat screen TVs (4), an expansive front porch, outdoor living spaces, a well-stocked kitchen, and a washer and dryer, Tommy Tautog’s has everything you need to enjoy easy beach living except your bathing suits and beach towels! Other linens (bedding, bath towels and washcloths) are provided by an independent vendor – the beds will be made when you arrive!

While the proximity to the beach is excellent, you’ll also find that this little gem on Walker Street offers easy access to the Avalon Pier and other great local attractions as well.

Our awesome caretakers, Mike and Lisa, are just as committed to your experience as we are!

We had such a wonderful week here! The house was in the perfect location—close to everything we needed and a very short walk from the beach. Everything was clean when we arrived, and you can tell the owners take great care of the property. It had all the amenities we needed, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our Outer Banks getaway. Highly recommend!

Great visit and accomodations

The cottage was great. It was in excellent shape and we had a wonderful time. It's in a great location as we went to almost all of the major attractions on the Outer Banks from Corolla to Hatteras.

First time in OBX

This was the perfect house and location for our first time in The Outerbanks! We traveled from Syracuse, NY area and loved the easy walkable access to the beach, the property amenities and size. We also loved the proximity to lots of delicious restaurants, ice cream shops and so many other things to explore. We will be staying here for sure when we come back!!

The house was exactly like the pictures, clean and tidy. Older place with upgrades (nice floors!), beach decorations but not overdone. Great location, a quick walk to the beach. Enjoyed the visit!

Great location, great hosts

We're a family of five. The house accommodated all of us comfortably and was a great place to stay. We were within close driving distance to everything anybody could want. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the ocean is practically across the street. We will look for this house to stay in again!

Perfect house and location!

The house was decorated really well. It felt and looked clean. It is missing a dishwasher but with just 2 of us staying there for a few days, it didn't really matter. The location and price were just perfect! The floors and style of the decor were so well done. It felt cozy and clean!

Great Location and lots beach supplies.

This house was perfect for our family of 6. It's an easy walk to the beach. That walk is made even easier by the provided beach cart. Several chairs, boogie boards, sand toys and umbrellas are provided too. Additionally there was corn hole and ladderball. The internet was fast, the beds comfortable and it's proximity to the local activities are a plus. It's an easy walk to Awful Arthur's and the pier. If I had to pick something as a negative, the area under the couch needs cleaned. Theres plenty of outdoor seating as well. From the porch to the two sitting areas under the house, no matter the weather, you can be outside. Check in was super easy as was check out. I highly recommend.
