Comfort and calm at Kapalua

This is our second visit to Kapalua Vacation Villas and again it did not disappoint. The villa was well appointed with modern kitchen and a range of appliances, clean and spacious bathrooms and comfortable living areas. The villa also fronts into the coastal walk which made it easy to get to and from the beach. A nice surprise was the inclusion of beach chairs and an esky/cooler. Always so nice to relax and self cater after busy Waikiki!

There is not a better view on Maui

Lovely home, comes with everything you need to take advantage of the beach (5 minute walk). There are chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear and an umbrella! Kitchen has what you need to take advantage of the dining room and outdoor patio! Close to ziplines, restaurants (Merrimans is a must), and all kinds of beaches! We will be back if they will have us!

Reviewer Comments: This stay was made with Aloha!Easy walks to the beach and many wonderful coves.We boogie board with the kids every day and also saw sea turtles and local OAU nocturnal birds that nest in conservation area in front of the condo. Easy drive to restaurants, private great views and beaches...local fruits a delight local mangoes pineapples and papayas at your table during every breakfast with an ocean view. We saw rainbows every day from our balcony.

Reviewer Comments: We stayed here in Kapalua for two glorious weeks in early January and had a wonderful time.I first want to commend Aloha Vacation Villas management for doing such a great job over the last two years dealing with the issues of the pandemic especially scheduling. Our stay was originally booked two years ago for a trip January 2021 but by November 2020, Covid put a halt to that trip. Aloha gladly moved us to this year but then an issue came up with a conflict when the owners also wished to stay in the villa part of that time. Vicki was able to work with them to adjust both of our stays so we were each happy. This is only one example of surely many adjustments that has taken place in their business.We have been staying in Kapalua Bay Villas for many years now and love the tranquil atmosphere the low rise smaller buildings present and the beautiful views that are presented of the ocean, Molokai, and the WHALES. Seeing whales is the primary reason we come this time of year and they never disappoint...warmer weather doesn’t hurt either! This villa has by far one of the best unobstructed views anywhere here, and we have stayed all over in the Bay Villas. There was never a moment that looking out at the ocean would not have some type of activity presenting itself to us.We found the villa to be exceptionally clean (including the windows) when we arrived and stocked with plenty of towels and paper products to use as needed. Housekeeping also came twice during our two week stay to change the sheets and towels...a nice plus!Unfortunately this villa is tired and in need of a refreshing. New paint throughout and furniture in the living and dining rooms are badly needed, the couches and dining room chairs are uncomfortable to sit on for very long. Thankfully I have learned that the owners are in the process of having the condo repainted and new living and dining room furniture have been purchased which should be a huge improv

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks in July. The views and grounds were lovely. The a/c in the downstairs bedroom wasn't working and the staff was super responsive in bringing in a mobile cooler. Of note, the "master bedroom" is an open loft and it's not very quiet if other folks are moving around the house. Overall, the villa was satisfactory. It's definitely tired and could use a refresh. For the amount of money it costs, I would have expected the state of the villa to be in much better shape. The beds were comfortable but the furniture in the living area was not. I would absolutely return to Kapalua and even rent through Aloha Vacations, but I'd pass on renting this villa again.

Great condo with unobstructed ocean views

What makes this property even more special than the surrounding Bay Villas is that it is the furthest condo on the point giving us a 270 degree view of the ocean and Linai. You get both the sunrise and the sunset. The condo itself is really well appointed with plenty of nice dishes and cooking items to use the kitchen effectively. Plus, 3 bathrooms so that everyone gets some privacy. And the desk in the loft with the three sided windows is a perfect place to get some work done (if you have to) without feeling like you're working. Loved this place!

We not only saw whales, they came so close to shore we could hear them take breathes sitting on the patio. Everything worked fine in the unit. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The A/C and fans kept the place nice and cool after our long walks around Kapalua. Marty and the team at Aloha Vacation Villas were very helpful over the past year with rescheduling due to covid-19. The unit itself was very clean. The view from this unit not only overlooks Ironwoods beach but also sunsets toward Lanai. I highly recommend this unit.

Property management moved us into a beautiful replacement condo -very timely and smooth process -almost no down time or inconvenience to our stay. Thank you!

Perfect getaway

Great location, right on the coastal trail walking distance to 4 beaches, Napili, Kapalua, Oneola and DT Fleming. Can whale watch from the place or short walk out to edge of coastal trail. Kitchen with full amenities, pool and tennis courts. Incredible windows with great views and balcony situated to protect from wind. Two bedrooms, both with attached full bathrooms. One of the master bedrooms is loft style and overlooks the living room. Also additional bathroom with shower which we used to rinse off after snorkeling at Kapalua. Honolua general store is a short drive from property and has nearly all essentials needed for stay. Easy drive to Kaanapali and Old town Lahaina for additional restaurants or shopping. Overall, place was fully equipped with plenty of space for a family of 4. Would definitely stay on this property again on next trip to Maui.

Perfect location

This was a great/lucky choice. We poured over all the VRBO listings and eventually just took a chance and booked this one. After all, you never really know exactly what you're getting. We lucked out because this place was great. Beautiful view.

180 degree ocean front view

The view from this unit is amazing. 180 degree unobstructed view of the ocean and the dramatic Kapalua coastline. If you love whales, this condo is for you. Lovely open space. Appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel sets and plenty of beach towels.

We had to be present for Spectrum to come and try to fix the problem - this was unsuccessful as apparently the wiring was faulty. Windows were very dirty as were all window seals. Hindered beautiful views. Tv in upstairs bed room did not work was told it would be fixed was not. Entry gate was terrible worked less than 50%. Kitchen sink faucet does tot turn. AC is very good. Overall I recommend. Not perfect but would probably rent again. CBD

You're also close to the blowhole and heart-shaped rock, and all of the West Maui beaches. There's a pool right outside the entrance to the condo as well.Two things to note about the property: first, the upper level bedroom is fully open to the living room below (open floor plan) so plan accordingly - second: while there is a washer/dryer in the unit, it's seen better days and did a number on some of our clothes, so use caution.

Phenomenal property in Kapalua Bay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental property was everything we had hoped for and more. The photos do not do it justice. Breathtaking 180-degree views of the Kapalua coastline, Maui channel, Molokai and Lanai. Nicely furnished and decorated. We are very picky travelers with high standards, and we will book this property again!
