It's a great walk to the beach! Coming home was tougher but good for us to push a little harder up hill! Seriously, this place is a great bargain, quiet, clean, and very nice with 2 comfortable queen beds.I'd stay again!

rustic inn in need of refresh

The only great thing about this listing were the beds. It was next to the main road entering Carmel so it is noisy and the property is actually not a home (this site is called vacation rentals by owners, right?) it is a run down inn. The bathroom has not been renovated in ages and the drain let off a sulphur scent that could be smelled in the bedroom. The description mentions an outdoor terrace but it is just an unappealing space off the parking space.
