The Kumu Compound is made up of two standalone individual (3 bedroom / 2.5 bath) homes that share a driveway, making it a perfect getaway spot for two families or groups. Be close to each other but still have your own space to unwind after a day of exploring the island.

This listing includes two 3-bedroom houses (Earthy House & Kumu House), located side by side with a shared driveway. It's an ideal rental for two groups who want to be close but also have their own space.

Both are designed with clean simplicity and island vibes. The houses are located in a lush private lane of bungalows right off the famous Ali'i Dr. We are are a 5 minute walk from a lovely hidden beach and 10 minute drive to the town center.

The houses are tucked away on a quiet, safe lane with a vehicle gate that is central and close to many beautiful beaches, cafes, and shops in Kona.

We had 2 families vacationing together, so this set up was perfect - 2 separate family spaces, but close enough to get together whenever. The host also send a text that we could get in our houses early. This was perfect. The earthy house was cute, kids liked the rattan chair suspended from ceiling. The ice dispenser, needs a good cleaning underneath. Out of laundry detergent, it wasn’t under the 1/2 bath cabinet. The Kumo house, was also cute. The water temperature of the shower was a concern, even when they went to turn on the switch, but found it was already turned on. Water temperature was lukewarm at best. This is a property where you really need to drive everywhere, especially if you have younger kids. I would recommend this property to friends.
