Nice 2 BR, 1BA Unit in Victorian home. Easy parking. Staircase at entry. Pleasant interior with beautiful bay windows. Comfortable beds! The bathroom is small, but doable. Nice, attractive neighborhood, very convenient to downtown Sac.
Wonderful communication by the hosts with seemless check in and stay. Many thanks!
As we boarded our transatlantic flight less than 12hrs before stated check in we still had no access details or communication from the host until we had to get Vrbo involved.
On arrival, it was apparent that not all the lights (external and internal) were working and a fire alarm was constantly chirping every 6 seconds. The apartment also stank. Progressing further, the place was filthy to the extent that we were sticking to the wooden floor. There was a supposed bedding cupboard but it was just full of junk and a soiled mattress. We had booked for five people but there was a grand total of only three pillows in the entire place. The beds themselves were made but were sunken mattresses and the sofa looked long beyond retirement. The skirting boards and blinds were black with dirt. In addition, there was a door from the apartment below that could be opened meaning that it felt very insecure. The advertised laundry room doesn’t even exist. The female guests in this party refused to stay here over safety concerns so we found somewhere else. Vrbo refunded our booking fee but then left it to us to pursue this poor standard with the host himself who refused a refund of any kind and ultimately just ignored our concerns.
We wish we could upload pictures and videos to this review so that you do not make the mistake we did and book this Accomodation. There are no words that can truly do justice to how bad it is.
I arranged a trip for my husband and sister-in-law (ages 70 and 73). I had to get VRBO involved because I contacted owner at 6am and then at 8 am morning of arrival because we did not have check in info. Guest were leaving at 6am from Or to drive to CA. We did not know if they would even have a place to stay (poss scam). Finally the owner called me and stated it was fault because I did not fill out questions about "snacks and so forth". Very inconsiderate. Not enough space to tell you about this owner. The guest arrived ( Is all I can say here about location is do your research on stopcrime.com) homeless man sleeping on street in front of house. Activity through neighborhood that made them feel unsafe to where one person waited in lock car till they could get door open and enter safely. Also was not aware that this is a multi-dwelling. A interior door that connected unit that you could hear all activity from other guest. They had to slide mirror in front of door so they could fill like they had warning if the door was forced open. Frm my sister-in-law who stayed in home(not enough space to mention all)
She had to clean before staying
Shower handle rubber banded on. Came off as she opened
Supplies in house are very minimal
Dirty mop in closet that stunk
My husband woke up last morning with blood spots on bed (possible bed bugs)
I could go on. The house she said was cute and comfy. But hard to enjoy with the safety, cleanliness and noise.
