In the winter, ski access is a hop across the street! Take the "Bear Back" Poma lift which will give you a direct shot to Big Sky Resort's Mountain Village. Big Sky Resort has runs for every skill level, whether you're sticking to the Magic Carpet or tearing up Black Diamond Trails from the Tram. When you're ready for lunch, ski over to Shedhorn Grill from the Shedhorn Lift for a Montana Wagyu burger right off their outdoor grill.
In the summer, book a Yellowstone excursion with Backcountry Safaris. They offer guided 10 to 12 hour tours of either the Upper or Lower Yellowstone Loop and a shuttle from Big Sky. At the end of the day, enjoy an elk tenderloin at the Cabin Bar and Grill.

Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.
Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport: In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. We offer a 5% discount code to Explore Rentals for confirmed guests. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4-wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is a very short walk to an access lift, the main resort and you can ski back almost to the door. The property is very clean with a heated garage, nice deck and grill.

Great stay! Location is perfect for ski-in/out, though wouldn’t be ideal for small children or beginner skiers (but the walk to the base isn’t far). The unit was very clean, spacious, private and quiet. Kitchen could use more baking sheets or pans but was otherwise very well stocked. Very thoughtful design for skiers- the entry/mudroom was perfect for boot storage with lots of room for hanging items. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.

My friends and I recently stayed at this fantastic place in Big Sky for a two-night snowboarding trip, and it was an incredible experience.
The location couldn't have been more perfect. It was conveniently walkable to the resort and lifts, which made our mornings hassle-free. Being able to step out of the door and onto the slopes in no time was a huge plus for us.
The place itself was lovely, and the amenities were top-notch. The cozy ambiance and well-maintained interior welcomed us after a day on the slopes. It was a great feeling to unwind in such a comfortable space.
The beds and accommodations exceeded our expectations. After a long day of snowboarding, we looked forward to a good night's sleep, and that's exactly what we got. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and everything was clean and well-prepared.
Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with our stay, and we would definitely choose this place again for our future trips to Big Sky. It contributed significantly to the enjoyment of our snowboarding adventure.
If you're looking for a place that combines convenience, comfort, and a great location for your Big Sky getaway, this is it. Highly recommended!
