Located in the heart of Amish Country, this peaceful, country cabin is located on a small farm between Killbuck and Glenmont, Ohio. The retreat is surrounded by 30 wooded acres complete with nearly 2 miles of hiking trails. Located on the edge of the property, this cabin provides privacy and the chance to take a break from life's hectic pace and challenges! Guests have reflected that the peace and quiet of being "unplugged" actually allows them to "digitally detox," to hear their own thoughts, and reconnect with themselves and each other!!

This delightful cabin boasts 1 bedroom plus a loft, 2 bathrooms, and cozy living areas for you to relax in. When not exploring the trails, relaxing around the firepit, soaking in the hot tub, or out shopping/dining, you may enjoy cooking in the quaint kitchen or unwinding in front of the fireplace or soaking in the peaceful surroundings on the deck overlooking the native forest in all its majesty. While here, take time to breathe deeply of God's fresh, country air and relish the opportunity to unplug yourself and loved ones while staying at Ethan's Retreat.

The perfect place to get back to nature, find peace and serenity, and make memories that will last forever!

Cabin: 1,200 Sq. Ft. | NO stairs required to access cabin front door, limited cell service, parking in front.

Bedroom: Queen Bed | Loft: Queen Bed with attached Bathroom: Toilet & Shower | Downstairs Bathroom: Toilet and tub/shower | Living Room: Sleeper Sofa

OUTDOOR:
A five-person spa sits on its own deck under the canopy of trees, outdoor seating on back deck, fire pit (wood provided), nearly 2 miles of hiking paths in the woods.

KITCHEN:
The fully outfitted kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots, pans, silverware, dishes, Keurig coffeemaker, traditional drip coffeemaker, microwave, fridge, stove and oven. There is a gas BBQ on the deck outside the kitchen, which overlooks the wooded valley. A dining room table with seating for 4 is also included.

LIVING AREA:
The living room features a gas fireplace and a new 32" HDTV and Blu Ray DVD player with a growing video library. Because of all the trees in this beautiful secluded wooded area, Cable TV and Satellite Dish systems are not accessible or available at this time. Please be sure to bring your own favorite DVDs to enjoy during your stay, as well.

LOCATION:
Close proximity to all Holmes County and Amish Country attractions, including Wilson's Country Creations, French Ridge Winery, and the Holmes County Trail and Rails-to-Trails.

POLICIES:
Pets welcome for an additional charge of $10/night, maximum $50/pet/stay.

What a peaceful treat!

We come to Mohican every year to relax for a few days, do some hiking, bask in the peace, and hit that big red reset button. This was our first time at Ethan’s Retreat, but will hopefully not be the last! Being able to include our fur-babe in our trip was the cherry on top of this phenomenal stay. Clean, quiet, adorable, and so comfy! Would love to stay in the winter. I bet it’s like a wonderland!

Long Weekend Getaway

The listing is absolutely spot on, wonderful cabin, fireplace was wonderful and the hot tub, plus the linens were great as well as the kitchen amenities, A mint on the pillows was a nice touch, so were the fresh eggs. The TV and Blu-ray plaver along with the selection of movies was very nice. Our weekend getaway alone was perfect here, and the dogs loved laying in front of the fireplace and playing with the toys. We will definately be back!!! Thank you!!!!

Relaxing & Cozy

This cabin was everything they said it would be and more. It was very relaxing listening to the wild animals, visiting with the horses, seeing the deer. Just being in the woods with family and friends and enjoying the outside, the fire and the hot tub was amazing. I definitely recommend Ethan's Retreat to everyone that would like to get away. This cabin was very clean and well stocked for us. Thank you again for letting us stay!!

Great Stay

We loved staying here. Great property in Amish country, very secluded. VERY clean! Perfect space for 2 couples. We brought our dog and she had the best time. They property managers think of everything. We even entered to farm fresh eggs and a few snacks!!! The kitchen is small but was great for a weekend trip. There were no sheet pans or baking dishes, but they had every other kitchen/grill utensil you would need! Would 100% stay here again! Cell service is very limited but we were still able to make calls and send texts

Secluded hideaway!

Cabin sits at the end of a long trail and is completely secluded. If you are looking for quiet and restful stay this cabin is for you. Beautiful inside. Comfy beds, fluffy pillows. Plenty of cooking utensils. Backporch balcony to enjoy nature. Owner has stocked cupboards with lots of extra foods. And also treats for humans as well as dog. There is no TV, cell phone service, or internet. Only suggestion we would make is to have cell phone service in case of emergency. Hot tub was relaxing and inviting. Our dog loved sniffing around the property. Owners have definitely thought of everything for a relaxing vacation. Shopping areas such as Millersburg, Berlin are a distance away but worth the trip.

Indeed a Retreat!

The house was very clean and the kitchen well stocked. The trails around the house were fun and gave us a nice, gentle workout as we went up and down hills. Very well tended trails. The house itself was cozy. We couldn't figure out how to get the fireplace going (the first night was chilly in Ohio) but it wasn't necessary. The hot tub was a fantastic relief from the long drive up from Georgia. There were even amenities for our dogs: a tray for bowls and a few treats. Treats for the humans on the kitchen table also, a nice touch. We stay in houses and cabins whenever possible and this ranks among the best kept we've rented. (Keep an eye out for Amish, who are plenty in this area. They use horse and buggies and electric bicycles to get around so be aware, careful and respectful of them.) Highly recommend this cabin for anyone that wants to retreat down dirt paths into the woods for some natural beauty!

I did not use the hot tub but the cabin was quaint and cozy. Very clean and loved sitting on the deck watching the squirrels and visited by deer. My dog was living his best life runnimg the trails. If you are lookimg for a little piece of Heaven then visit. You wont be sorry.

Family Getaway

Ethan’s retreat is a country setting that’s great for family time and relaxation. We had a wonderful time ! Property is clean and comfortable. My only negative would be that the couch is very low to the ground and has staples on the back cover to keep the fabric from coming loose. For the price I think an upgrade is needed . I’m only mentioning because I recently had knee replacement surgery and it would be difficult for an older person to get up. Despite the couch, we would definitely return ! Our grand littles had a blast ! We had hot tub time, had breakfast at the picnic table with farm fresh eggs and Amish bread and bacon, played games, made a fairy garden and bee bath. Walked the trail and had some delightful family time ! Plenty of wildlife to enjoy and a great location for star gazing !
