Great decor. Roomy but cozy. Close to museum and other downtown attractions Safe neighborhood. Ebonee the property manager was very helpful and professional. Only issue is there are steps at entrances and between sunroom and rest of house that were a challenge for the older members of our group.
The home was so cute and very clean. Super convenient to historic downtown. Would definitely stay again!

Thank you for the wonderful review! I’m delighted that you had a great stay at my house. It was a pleasure hosting you, and I hope to welcome you back soon.
The host NEVER contacted me. The property manager literally kicked us out for no reason that we caused. The house wasn’t fully cleaned and supplies were out. I tried to talk some reason to Ebonnoh (pert mgr) but she wanted us to leave for 2-3 hours & we couldn’t with 13yr old dogs that needed food. She called the police and we had to leave. I called VRBO customer support to see if they would find us another property & no one called me back or emailed me Thursday 2/26. We stayed at the Hampton Inn. It seems VRBO doesn’t follow up with the customer or care. No I am not happy with the host, or VRBO.
My husband and I stayed with our two babies (ages 2y and 6m). We LOVED our stay here and would highly recommend! The house was clean and the perfect size for our family. We played in the back yard and explored downtown Laurel which is just down the road.
This home could be featured in a magazine. It is beautifully decorated, and the thoughtful host made every effort to see to our needs. Such a sweet place! We would definitely recommend it to others.
Couldn't have asked for more. They thought of everything, down to a cute doggy mat, water and food bowl and extra leach for your fir baby. The cottage was staged so nicely and clean as a pin. We had a lovely, comfortable stay and enjoyed seeing the sights and highlights of Laurel. Lovely, friendly little town.
Beatiful home and very comfortable. Was disappointed there wasn't any muffins and donuts as mention for breafast, and the bathroom could of been a little cleaner.
We liked staying here. It has unexpected extras everywhere you look. It’s 5-6 blocks from old downtown in one direction and not too far from the main drag with all the chain food places in the other.
There’s everything to love about this house. The location, the easy of entrance, the extras for the guest & the decor of the home is magazine worthy. Check out was bare minimum. This place is the comfort of your own home without being in your own home. 10/10 recommend and would definitely enjoy staying here again. A huge Thank you to the owners for being so accommodating to your guests, sharing your wonderful home with others, offering a Welcoming and comfortable place to enjoy while traveling.
This was a very nice place decorated very well. It was one of the cleanest places that we have stayed in in a long time. plenty of supplies and sometimes that’s a rare commodity when staying anywhere. The property manager was very nice and accommodating and the host was very pleasant as well. Would stay again.
From the moment we opened the door we felt at ease. We, my husband and I, both said on just our second night there, how incredibly comfortable we were. We
We had a great stay in Laurel, MS. The house was great and close to everything. It was super hot while we were there in July and the AC never missed a beat. We were actually cold at times. The house has everything you'd need throughout. They have the kitchen stocked, the bathrooms have extra supplies, the wifi is great.. It was a great experience. We would definitely stay there again.

Cute cottage
Such an adorable home very well remodeled. Very clean and in order. The location of the home was a little scary at night and a lot of traffic. The description of the property was not accurate with the location of it.

About the host
Hosted by Carolyn Sue
Hi, I’m Carolyn Sue, and I’m proud to call Laurel, Mississippi, my lifelong home. This house has been a family home since the 1940s, and hosting guests here allows me to share not just a piece of our history but also the charm and warmth of Southern living.
I’ve always loved meeting new people, which is one of the reasons I enjoy hosting so much. When I’m not welcoming guests, you can find me baking something sweet in the kitchen, sewing a new project, or traveling to explore new places. Spending time with my family is my greatest joy, and I hope you’ll feel that same sense of togetherness during your stay.
Hosting is my way of extending a warm Southern welcome to folks from near and far. I hope you’ll love our home and Laurel as much as I do.
Why they chose this property
Nestled in the heart of Laurel, Mississippi, my home is surrounded by the charm and beauty of a classic Southern neighborhood. Towering oaks line the streets, providing shade and a sense of timelessness, while the houses nearby are full of character, each with its own unique story to tell. It’s the kind of place where neighbors still wave hello, and you can often hear the hum of laughter and conversation from porches in the evening.
What I enjoy most about this neighborhood is its welcoming spirit and proximity to so many of Laurel’s treasures. Whether it’s strolling through downtown to browse the shops, savoring a delicious meal at a local eatery, or enjoying the beauty of the nearby parks, there’s always something to see and do.
The neighborhood is peaceful and full of history, making it the perfect place to relax and soak in the slower pace of Southern living. I love hearing from guests about how much they enjoy the quiet charm and easy access to everything Laurel has to offer. It’s a special place, and I’m so happy to share it with others.
What makes this property unique
What makes this property truly stand out is its unique combination of historic charm and modern comfort. This home has been a family home since the 1940s, and I’ve worked hard to make it a warm, welcoming space for every guest. It’s not just a house—it’s a well-appointed retreat where you’ll feel right at home.
The kitchen is fully stocked with every item you could possibly need, whether you’re whipping up a gourmet meal or just brewing your morning coffee. Beyond that, I’ve included thoughtful extras like a toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and even a few living plants to bring a fresh, vibrant feel to the space.
With bright, plentiful windows and a spotless interior, the house feels light, airy, and incredibly inviting. Guests often tell me how much they appreciate the attention to detail and how everything they need is right at their fingertips. They share that they feel like they're staying with family, and that's the greatest compliment I could ask for.
I believe what really sets this property apart is the sense of home it offers. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to relax, recharge, and create your own special memories.
