The townhouse met all our expectations. From the stunning ocean views from the spacious deck to the tropical touches in the decor, large bathrooms and kitchen, plus beautiful outdoor landscaping on the grounds made our stay a truly relaxing experience. We also appreciated the snorkeling equipment for use and the friendly staff.

Amazing view. Lots of snorkeling gear to use. Chairs to use. Umbrella to use. Even Pickleball paddles. Also tennis rackets. Everything we needed. Only small complaint is that the upstairs loft can get slightly warm. Not a big deal. Very quiet except for the amazing sound of ocean waves all day long.

Amazing view

We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the lanai was amazing and we were lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean each night. Not too far from Kona and other sites and minutes away from a grocery store. Had everything we needed for cooking.

WOW!

Wow! Wow! Wow! There is nothing else I can say about the view from this lovely home. You wake up, grab a cup of coffee and walk out onto the balcony to see/hear crashing waves against the rocks. This is one of our favorite places we have stayed at with the view and we have stayed in places with wonderful views. The home is well equipped. clean and very comfortable. The property has 3 pools (one right above the ocean), tennis/pickleball courts and a ping pong table. The grounds are so green and lush which is wonderful to just take a walk around to get your steps in. Communication with the property is seamless. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful views and comfortable

We travel to the Big Island regularly and found this condo to be one of the best we have stayed in. The lanai was the highlight for us, and we spent hours watching kayakers and soothing waves crash right near us. It was clean, well stocked with new Kitchen appliances and had a lot of books and games to use. The master bedroom was large, and the bathroom exceptionally designed with a 2 person shower. I liked the tile used, and my wife enjoyed the large makeup mirror, although not much makeup was worn, only sunscreen!! The only thing we would improve on is the overhead fans in the bedrooms could use a remote control to change the speeds easily from the bed. Some of the towels and sheets were a bit worn, but overall we will try to stay here again when we visit next year.

Fantastic Location!

Family of 5. Kids 20, 18, 16. The location was perfect to explore the Kona coast. The condo had everything we needed. The deck overlooking the ocean with the sound of crashing waves elevated every moment spent in the condo. Would recommend this to anyone and definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!

We loved our stay at this vacation rental. It was quiet and had a beautiful ocean view. The unit was nicely furnished, spacious and well-stocked. It had everything we needed. The grounds are lovely. There is a grocery store nearby. The owner is friendly, quick to respond, and accommodating.

Extraordinary Condo Experience!

Peace and quiet with a biew

What a view and a very comfortable stay on the Big Island. Well equipped and very organized. We loved cooking and enjoying quiet dinners with our friends. Stayed here two other times and each time I felt like coming home.

Beautiful views!

This property did not disappoint! The views could not be beat…we made sure not to miss a single sunset :) Can’t imagine a better place to watch it! The condo was so clean and the kitchen had all we needed and more. We loved staying in Sotuh Kona away from the hustle and bustle. If we come back to the Big Island, we certainly would come back to stay here!

Peaceful break

The condo is so close to the water, it’s absolutely beautiful and so tranquil listening to the waves crashing as you sleep. The condo was very clean and well stocked (spices, towels, laundry wash, dishwasher tabs etc). All the cooking supplies were there, and we were very happy to find a kettle! The only thing we would say is that the washing machine smelled a little moldy and didn’t really freshen our clothes. A clean cycle would probably resolve this easily enough. It is definitely worth paying for the AC! The pools were quiet and it was no problem accessing those. The gardens were well maintained and so pretty. Walking distance to the local shopping center, with store, places to eat/drink. Communication was easy. Would be happy to return.

Wonderful beachfront condo

The location of this condo was amazing. It has everything we needed and it was a huge plus to have A/C in August. The sunsets from the patio was truly incredible. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. I highly recommend this vacation condo. The owner/manager Kathy was super responsive.

Wonderful family stay

This rental was perfect for my parents, two kids, wife and me. The sound of crashing waves directly outside the unit was wonderful and it came stocked with just about everything we needed to have a wonderful vacation, including a storage locker full of goggles, masks and snorkels, water shoes, etc. It’s also right down the street from the nighttime manta ray snorkeling (awesome thing to do!), which was super convenient.

Great condo for family of 5

We had a really excellent stay at this condo. We were there with our 3 kids (ages 29, 24, and 10). It is very spacious, giving us all opportunity to be comfortable and have room to spread out. We hosted grandparents for dinner comfortably using the indoor and outdoor dining areas. The only thing to note is the twin beds are small, like extra narrow and our 10 year old fell out of the bed a couple of times. These beds are really designed for small people, definitely not a larger adult. Not a big deal, but something to note if planning for a group of adults.We loved it and would definitely book this condo again. Thanks for a great stay.

Great Place to relax and enjoy the island!

The unit was clean, and very well appointed. We have stayed in many condos throughout HI and this is at the top of the list! Very quiet area, we spent many hours on the lanai watching the ocean. The management team was very responsive on the single time we contacted them (we had internet access issues, turned out to be a wide area issue that spectrum was having). You certainly have purchased an extremely nice property. We recommend it highly and we will certainly contact you if we travel to the big island in the future.

What an incredible view from the condo including sunsets and the sound of the ocean. We opted to do take out a couple of nights just to sit on the lanai. Very comfortable, spacious, and clean. Well stocked kitchen. Covered parking is a little tight, but all of the spaces are and we were thankful for a designated spot. Good location. Super easy to work with as far as booking and at the resort itself. Would rent again.

Everything you could ask for!

We stayed at Unit #1804 for 10 days in December 2017. I have stayed at multiple units in Kanaloa and this 3 bedroom oceanfront was spectacular. The owners have thought of every convenience, as if they started with the question " What would I want in a condo?" Truly, everything from very nice bedding, towels and comfortable beds, to a fully equipped kitchen. We had cleaning service half way through our stay and she was did an equally amazing, detailed job. From check-in to check-out our experience, 5 total in the unit was ideal. The location has views both north and south and full oceanfront which I loved. The indoor/outdoor carpet on the lanai was a bonus as it muffles the noise of moving chairs. Nice for us but equally nice for our neighbors. If you need water sport equipment it's all there including coolers. Thank you Kathy for your attention to detail. We will return.

Everything and More!

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful condo along with our two grown sons, ages 18 and 20. We could not have been happier! We are frequent VRBO renters and this place is among our favorites. Not only is the view unobstructed and beautiful, we loved the amenities at the resort. We played tennis (with the supplied rackets and balls!) and swam at the pools each day (beach towels supplied as well)! They even have snorkeling gear and boggle boards!! The kitchen is FULLY stocked. As a frequent VRBO renter, we have seen it all -- and this was the best we have encountered! We literally had not one basic item we needed that was not supplied -- only needed to buy our groceries and were able to cook full meals with the supplied pots/pans/spices/oils/utensils). It's spacious, well kept, very clean and super conveniently located! We really loved our stay!! Also, the management unexpectedly scheduled maintenance during our stay which required them to turn the water off for 6 hours one day. We were pleasantly surprised that the owner credited us for the inconvenience. Truly appreciated that! If we ever have the chance to return to the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii, we would definitely stay here again!

Over all we had a nice time.

This trip was a long time coming as we were scheduled to be there during the Covid shutdown in 2020. The manager of the property would not give us our money back even though we could not possibly physically be there as there were no flights going to the islands at all. We were extremely frustrated, but I can say that she did at least extend the time that we had to use the credit so finally we went about 2.5 years later. Now about the condo. It was clean and had everything you might need available to use, including beach gear, condiments and laundry soap. I am sure there was more, but these are the things that we found ourselves grateful to have available. It was also in a great location, close enough to shopping and restaurants. I would not say within walking distance, but within a short driver. The very best thing about the condo was that it was RIGHT ON THE OCEAN. The sound of the waves were my favorite thing!!! Only a few negatives....the blinds let in so much light. They really should consider getting black out shades of some sort. I don't want to be woken up by the sun at 5:30-6am every morning of my vacation. Also, the condo is a bit out dated as far as decor, flooring, tile in shower etc. It made it feel older, darker and a little dingier that it really was. Over all we had a nice time.

Beautiful condo and location April 2018

My Wife and i stayed at Kanaloa at Kona for five nights in April 2018. The Condo location is inside a resort community of condos set inside of a larger community of homes and other condos making up one large neighborhood. The condo sits right on the waters edge with lava flows right below the condo lanai with the Pacific ocean waves breaking onto the lava in front of the condo. The condo is a second floor unit of 4 condos together with a stairway leading up from entrance door to the actual living space so you will need be able to lift your luggage up a fairly long flight of stairs. The condo is completely updated with everything needed for a great stay, two nice size bedrooms and two nice bathrooms , with master bath having tub, a walk-in shower with two shower heads and double vanity and makeup area to sit at. The second bath has double vanity also with single walk-in shower. The third bedroom is in a loft with twin beds overlooking den area and kitchen area with stairway. all appliance are modern and top quality with granite countertops through complete unit. Also complete with Maytag washer and dryer. There was a additional charge for Air Conditioning which is controlled by a preset program that you are unable to change since its a locked thermostat with security code to make any changes. The AC was set to about 75- 78 during waking hours and was uncomfortable for us in later morning hours, afternoon and early evening hrs when returning from sight seeing. The second day the trade winds had calmed and we noticed the AC was warm and thats when we realized we could not adjust. This was a concern before we booked this unit and we were told we could lower ac to 70 if needed but not below that temp. we contacted the owner and she insisted that we could just rotate the ring to cooler temp but that was not possible as we told her the unit was locked via a code to unlock and even sent over a picture of thermostat showing the lock and that it was set to a green leaf energy savings mode. i could understand this situation if we hadnt already agreed we could lower the temp before we booked plus we paid a extra 125.00 to run AC for 5 days. She does have many fans in the unit that helped but we arent ones to sleep at night with strong fans at night so this was not that comfortable to us. If i had been at home in our city with a ac locked at 78 degrees in the afternoon i would be calling the AC repairman to fix my AC. i do understand energy savings but also after spending 1900 for 5 nights including the extra AC charge i would expect to be able to lower the temp as needed within reason. The other issues although a bit minor were that the assigned parking for the condos were small for two cars to park together in assigned covered parking where people could barely exit the passenger side because you needed to allow enough room for driver to park and get out vehicle so you needed to let passengers out before parking. The assigned parking for this unit isnt in front of the condo although other condos are assigned parking in front of your condo. This probably isn't anything the owner can control. Its like parking your car three houses down from the house you live in. Overall we had a great time, there was nothing else we needed that the condo didnt have. The location was great and the views out the lanai were fantastic. i would have gave it 5 stars if the AC had not been a issue that she said she couldnt correct. She told us she could not get a service tech out in time to look at, but never offered the code to manually operate it either?? At the least i think we should have been offered the 125.00 charge for AC usage back, but we were never offered any compensation. Personally i believe there was nothing wrong with the AC and the owner acted like she didn't understand how the new programable thermostats worked or didnt want us to lower the temp all along and figured once we got there we wouldnt mind the higher temps!! For that reason we will not return to this particular unit again in the future. Sincerely Eric And Sandy

Stunning Views!

Stunning views from the lanai! Sunsets were brilliant and the waves crashing against the rocks was so therapeutic. We enjoyed our daily walks, the pool looking out into the ocean, close but not too close proximity to restaurants. Many pluses to this property, I would strongly recommend this location. Kona condo stay beachfront

We will definitely rent here in the same place again. It was even far better than we even expected. When they say beachfront, it almost hangs right over the crashing waves and rocks and it’s absolutely beautiful. But beyond the view what we really loved was how well stocked the kitchen, the bathrooms, the laundry room, and everything you can imagine was available. That means something when you’re traveling. Even the kitchen had all the condiments we needed and we did not have to go buy them. And then to top it off all of the beach gear and snorkeling equipment was all in the closet. And our host was always a quick response with anything we needed. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Kona Condo

What a great unit! We have stayed at Kanoloa for years, and this one of the best units in the complex. Amazing view! We love to cook our on meals so we found unit to be well equipped with cookware. Really appreciated the fact that they some essential food items at the place so we didn’t have to rush to store on the first day. Overall great experience.
