Nice place for a simple getaway. House was clean, and everything else as advertised. My wife particularly loved kayaking around the lake. There are 3 bars/restaurants just minutes away. All had good food and friendly staff. Everyone we ran into was so nice! This is also close to two state parks with waterfalls just 15 - 30 mins away. We hiked both - be sure to bring bug repellent and water for the hike. There are other waterfalls in the area - just ask the locals or wait staff for locations and advice. We tried fishing off the shore and dock, but no luck. Regardless, it was a relaxing place to be. Loons make the lake a home, and an eagle was spotted, too.Be sure to bring food. There aren't a lot of places to buy groceries in the area and some of the local restaurants are closed a couple of days during the week.Lastly, if you're using Google Maps (or similar) to get here, you may want to consider downloading a map of the area, as data connection may be spotty. I won't give the address, but the app originally sent us to the wrong house. Fortunately, we were fairly close and were able to figure it out. Roads had similar names, with N/S/E/W-type prefixes. We found that not using the prefix made for better accuracy. Technology making our lives easier...
I had a wonderful time. The home was clean, cozy and well equipped for a perfect stay. The host was very responsive. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. I wish I could have stayed longer.
The cabin was nice and cozy. We enjoyed being on a small lake and enjoying morning coffee and fishing. Close to state parks and Duluth for exploring. We would definitely book this cabin again!

Alexis was an excellent guest, left the property in perfect condition.
Great location with private dock, loved waking up each morning to the lake right outside our door. George and Adele were wonderful hosts, would definitely recommend!
We were impressed with the spacious and clean cabin. It has a comfortable couch for reading with a great view. The bedroom was very comfortable and kept the light out so we could sleep in a bit. Very close to Pattison State park. When I couldn’t figure out the key, George was easy to reach.
A great spot to sit and stare at the water. Cozy lodging with kitchen and living area, one bedroom. Close access to state parks and easy drive to Superior/Duluth area.

Excellent guests, property was left in great shape.
They have done a nice job updating the place. The lake is lovely and peaceful. We went around the lake in the kayaks. The smaller size of the lake meant no water skiers and big wakes.
Overall the stay here was amazing. Some of our favorite parts of this house was the location of it, having plumbing, and the weather. We stayed at the cabin for a couple of days and enjoyed the views and going out on the kayaks. I’ve been up to the north before and never stayed at a place that had plumbing. The weather was highs of 75 while back home in KC it was in the 90’s. It was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re looking for a great spot to just stay in one spot for a few days or a hub to adventure out from this spot is great!
