We were attending a friend's wedding in Chicago near here so this was a perfect location and home from our stay. Very up to date furnishings, beautiful home, we felt very welcome and safe here. A gorgeous home!
This home is absolutely lovely and easy walk to Lake Michigan and in an adorable neighborhood. Every single family member enjoyed their room. I had many questions for the host and she answered each and every question thoroughly. I highly recommend this home.
Highly recommend! Very clean, comfortable beds, very well stocked kitchen and baths, beautiful inside and out!Plenty of space for my large group to eat, relax and sleep.Loved the outdoor space! Nice to have a garage. Close to grocery store, red line and lots of restaurants. Train behind home was jus white noise, not an issue at all.
We enjoyed our stay. Hospitable hosts. Excellent quality sheets, comfortable beds. We were nervous about the train noise from the red line but once we arrived we found out that the train going by sounded closer to white noise like an air conditioning unit blowing air. The train track is on very nice concrete bridges. The children’s supplies were very helpful! - A handful of books, games, and toys to keep our 3.5 year old occupied. The high chair and pack n play were perfect for our 5 month old. Garage parking that fit two cars was wonderful to accommodate our babysitter’s car and our rental car because otherwise finding street parking would have been a challenge. We went to the lakeshore path every day and enjoyed the beach as well. Connectivity to lakeshore drive made getting to downtown for restaurants and bars very quick! This house will be even better when the trail behind the house opens - it’s currently actively under construction.
The house is beautiful and was perfect for our family get-together. Stairs were a little hard for my senior husband and I, but we went in and out the patio area for safety. The house had so many amenities - spices, games, a piano, a small swing set/play area, items for the beach, so many pots, pans, and cooking items! Ordered items from the Jewel nearby with excellent service. Nice restaurants nearby. Nicole was so kind and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the laundry room was large. Hot water took a while for the showers. Loved the large table, the great sofa conversation area, and the large island in the kitchen. Those 3 things sold me on the house. Garage was a tight squeeze for 2 cars, one being a large van, but we managed. So close to things and expressways. A perfect get-away house with so many amenities! Thanks, Nicole!
We had an absolutely wonderful week in your home. I had family travel in from several different states and we had plenty of space for everyone. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather the day of my daughter’s graduation and thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the back patio. Your home is beautiful and so well-appointed. Thank you so much for an enjoyable week!
Highly recommend this property for large groups. Stairs involved (we had some grandparents in our group) so know that. This house is spectacular and immaculate. Incredibly comfortable, location near the train and in a good location in the city. Cannot recommend highly enough. Wish I had another big group to take to Chicago - will remember this property. Got inspired to re-do a bathroom in my own home based on their ideas

Thanks Lisa! We loved hosting your group. The house was so well kept; I had wondered if you indeed stayed over. Congrats again to the graduate!
We had 3 generations at the house (grandmother, 2 sons, 4 grandchildren from age 8 to 19) to attend a reunion of 34 family members. The location near the beach was great. Public transportation is nearby as are loads of restaurants including Ethiopian, Asian, Diner, Scandinavian, etc. A Jewel market is a block away. We were provided a beach wagon that came in handy both for shopping and for trips to the beach. The 6 bedrooms offered a range of accommodations including bunk beds, twin beds, trundle bed, and queen and king beds. You won't need condiments, spices, oil, or really ANY kind of cooking vessels, I large KitchenAid mixer, smoothie blenders, coffee maker, etc. are all available.
What an incredible house. I came out with my four best friends from high school and college for a Dodgers/Cubs series. We are all in our 50's now and appreciated the comfort of a nicely appointed home. The house is immaculate and the kitchen had everything we needed including coffee ready for us to make in the mornings. They also keep the pantry stocked with necessities. The bathrooms were stocked with high end shampoos and body washes and the towels were extremely plush. The bedrooms were fantastic. The sheets and comforters were top notch and I slept incredibly well. This is the perfect house for a large family or group of friends visiting Chicago. We can't wait to go back.
My immediate family including seniors and young children stayed for several days at this historic home recently. We gathered there for our daughter's wedding in the city. We were greeted by a nice welcome card and a bottle of wine from the owners who were most accommodating and available. The home is simply stunning, especially the chef's kitchen equipped with all that one would need. The beds in all of the bedrooms were very comfortable while the common areas were open and inviting. The master bathrooms were breathtaking in their beauty and use. It seemed that we were staying in a luxury hotel with all of the amenities including a tremendous outdoor space for families! This home was perfect for our needs and will always be part of our memories of our daughter's wedding!
