Was a great cottage, clean, has everything you would need to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Views of water, Was nice to come back to the area of where my mother-in-law lived until she passed in 2011. Neighbours were great enjoyed the “waves” of friendliness and peace around the area, the world is missing that right now. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back sooner next time.

What a fantastic cottage! Everything was perfect. We only brought clothes and the basics for food. The cottage had EVERYTHING else and then some. We arrived to an immaculately clean, gorgeously decorated home. The host left us the most delicious loaf of sour dough bread that I have ever eaten. The beach is beautiful. The hosts were attentive and very kind. You wouldn't even know you had neighbours, everyone was so quiet. It was honestly the best vacation rental we've been to. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Seriously, if it's available, jump on it and book it!

This is a great cottage and beautiful area in NS. Rushton Beach just down the street is a fantastic beach with very warm water. The communication with the owner was fantastic!

Thanks Matthew! We managed to determine why water backed up into the tub (as you experienced on check out day, leading to your 4 star review) after hiring two different plumbers. This was the only time in 10 years that this happened. The abundance of food that made its way into the kitchen drain clogged it seriously. The problem was finally rectified and no issues since. :) Unfortunately, we can’t control the speed with which a spider can weave a web, which you indicated also put your group off. Sorry about that. It’s rural NS on the ocean. 🤷‍♀️

We loved our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage and the location were perfect. Our kids loved the playing in the ocean, around the cottage in the yard, and the fire pit was a hit with them as well. Jeanne (our host) was very helpful and responsive throughout as well.

Wonderful location, wonderful cottage, and just an amazing experience. Can’t say enough about the beauty of the area, the charm of the cottage - complete with everything you might need for a fun stay, and the responsiveness and kindness of Jeanne - the owner. Also just two min drive from a beautiful sand beach as well as two seconds throw from an equally as beautiful rocky/sand mix beach. Highly highly recommend and we’ll be back!

We had a fantastic week at this gem of a spot on the Northumberland Strait. The kids loved combing the nearby beach for sea glass, shells, and other treasures and a sandy beach was also very close by where they enjoyed playing in the water and sand. The host was friendly and responsive to any questions we had, the place was very clean and well-organized, and the sour dough bread they left for us as a welcome gift was a lovely touch!

Cottage was great, with a perfect location and a good launching point to go explore Nova Scotia. Hosts were communicative and gracious - and even included a welcome treat when we arrived. The walk to the beach was short, and we watched the tide ebb and flow each day. Sunsets are magical, and even when the water was cold, the kids enjoyed strolling out into the bay.Highly recommended.

AMAZING HOST - AMAZING STAY!!!

The host was fantastic! We were greeted with a fresh baked loaf of bread on the counter. The property was very clean and very inviting. The decor encouraged you to look with detail at everything in every room. A stones throw from the ocean and a quiet area. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking to explore the area.

Beautiful!

Our expectations were high from the listing, and our stay exceeded them! This is a beautiful cottage in a great location by the ocean. In mid-March, it was very comfortable, and we were even able to use the deck. We were well stocked with any amenity that we could want, including a delicious loaf of sourdough bread that was waiting for us upon arrival, and it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the decor. Checking in and out was easy, and our host was helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again.
