They on the water location and grounds were fabulous as well as the boat house. The house was well equipped and the great room gave us a perfect place to hang out and be together. The owner’s paddle boards, kayak and good supply of life vest allowed us to all get in the water together. Definitely considering for next year!
My fiance, now wife, rented Calm Water Encounters at Lake Gaston for our wedding weekend. We had family stay in this house and we stayed in the other house on the property. This was perfect and allowed us to have a little escape from family and friends. The family that stayed in this house had a great time and had plenty of room to spread out. They loved taking out the paddle boards and canoe and hanging out at the dock.
Our second trip to Gaston. The house was beautiful and perfectly set up for our family. Kitchen was awesome and very well stocked. Outdoor area was beautifully landscaped but outdoor furniture was too damp to use because of the short rainstorms we got while there. Kids loved fishing off the dock and caught some decent sized fish. My only complaint is that the community pool and beach areas charge a daily fee per person which wasn’t made clear in listing. Other than that, the location on the lake was very nice.
House was very Will stocked with everything needed for your stay. Check in was straight forward and the neighborhood was nice. There is a actively area right by the house. It has a beach area and volleyball net, a pier you can fish off too. I brought my boat and there is a drop only a mile away. The only thing I will say about the boat is the cove the house is in is shallow, about a foot and half at the dock. Definitely not a show stopper for bringing your boat but good to know when approaching the dock. Overall it was a very good stay for the family and I.

Phillip and guests were great. Responded to texts and left the house in great condition. Thanks Phillip and please come again!
Overall we had a wonderful time at the property and the neighborhood amenities were perfect for our 2 families with 3 boys under 5. The listing didn’t mention that the bunk bed room is attached to one of the other rooms which ended up working out perfectly for us! There was lots of room on the property for outside activities, the boat house was well stocked with floats and life jackets and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. It’s not in the listing but there’s a community swim area, playground and dock within a 5 minute walk. We enjoyed playing there on the beach! We did have a couple issues with the house and Teri was very responsive and is working to resolve them.
Awesome lake front house with everything you need!
We absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect for our kids and pups! Things we loved:
The dock was stocked with fishing gear, life jackets, lake toys, kayaks and paddle boards. Easily able to tie up our boat, just be mindful that it is shallow in some spots.
House had everything, linens, dish and laundry soap, shampoo/conditioner, trash bags, and fully stocked kitchen. This is so nice because some of those are inevitably forgotten!
Ample storage!
Beautiful views of yard, garden, lake
Garage access with extra fridge/freezer and huge sink
Comfortable beds!
Smart tv, games
Nice grill
Owner went above and beyond to buy a blender when we discovered the current one was missing. She was very sweet and you could tell took a lot of pride in her home.
Thank you!
