Our 3-generation family vacation here was ideal: Lots of space with newer, clean, comfy furniture and 3 tables. Two bedrooms up, two (or three, with one being a walkthrough to bunk beds facing the canal) down. Our landlord also was wonderful. It was not a great beach weather week for us, so we were especially glad for the kayaks and direct access to the canal. Parking for 3 is easy, and you can fit 4 cars, with one crosswise. The fenced-in patio facing the canal, with a hammock and sectional seating, is sweet. Two of the three bathrooms are tops, nicely renovated. The third is also good, just not as updated (Landlord responded positively to promptly address a faucet issue). The kitchen is in excellent condition, however, drawers and cupboards could be streamlined and organized with multiples removed, for easier access to utensils. The washer and dryer, with hall location, worked well. The sheets provided were (big sigh of relief) very nice quality. The beach chairs and wagons and toys were good quality in excellent shape. The outdoor staircase is likely next for an update: The wood steps and railing are a bit weathered. All in all, it is clear this is a much loved and consistently cared for home. Some of us walked (15 minutes) and some drove (5 min.) to the beach, and we were grateful to have resident parking passes. We would gladly re-book, if our plans work out that way. Thank you!
