We had a great week staying there in Wolfsboro. The house is modern and inviting. A great kitchen and updated bathrooms and large tvs through out. The location is great, walking distance to so many great activities, stores groceries and restaurants. The nearby park, rail trail, docks and back bay were an added bonus.
This is the perfect place to stay if you’re in Wolfeboro - SUPER convenient to downtown, we were able to walk wherever we needed. The house was super updated, spacious and clean and the host was really responsive and helpful with any questions we had.

Thank you so much, Nicole! I am happy you enjoyed the house.
The rooms in the house where larger then I was expecting. Shopping and restaurants were very walkable. The kids enjoyed the park right across the street.

Denise, I am so glad you enjoyed the house and neighborhood!
We came to Wolfeboro to celebrate Thanksgiving with family in town. The location was ideal with easy access to town. The house was immaculate and comfortable. We will rent again.
The property was well maintained and convenient to town. manager was easy to work with prior to booking. Had no reason to contact owner during visit. Would recommend, its clean and roomy.
This house was perfect for our group (3 adults and 3 kids) for a winter getaway to Wolfeboro. The house was beautifully renovated while retaining historic charm, with like-new appliances, large TVs, and good Internet. The location is great, with an easy walk to town for shopping and dining, and directly across from a nice playground and other dining and shopping options. The host was very friendly and check in & out were very easy. Highly recommend!

Thank you, Ginger. I am so glad it was a good place for you and your family.
Myself, my parents and my 4 year old son stayed for 4 nights. The house appears to be remodeled recently and everything looked nicely designed. Comfortable beds made for restful night. Great location across a park for my son and walking distance to the tow. Only thing missing was that a hot tub was listed in the amenities which we did not see at the property.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Marissa. No hot tub, but there is a soaking tub!
Everything in the beautifully restored colonial was top of the line. The linens, towels, toiletries were excellent quality and plentiful. The flooring, appliances, counters, bathrooms fixtures were all superior, making for quite an elegant environment. Sarah was a great host, easy to reach and quick to answer. Location was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the area and even joined the local yoga gym for our week. Wonderful times in town, around the lake and down in Portsmouth. Highly recommend!

The location of the property was fantastic; however, we were disappointed that the owner refused to work with us on a partial refund. The central AC did not work, so the owner placed window units in for our stay and told us in person upon arrival that they were not screwed in. During our trip, one of the window units fell out while we were at the lake, fortunately, it did not hit any cars.We also dealt with ants in the kitchen, which we reported to the owner during our stay. We lost a couple hundred dollars’ worth of groceries when ants got into our food on the first day and again on subsequent days. The ants were able to get into cabinets as well, so our food was a constant concern. After our stay, we reached out to the owner requesting a partial refund but received no response. We then contacted VRBO customer service, who reached out to the owner on our behalf. In response, the owner blamed our children for the AC unit falling out of the window, a claim that is both untrue and shocking. She also blamed the ant issue on our cleanliness, despite the fact that we shared photos and informed her the problem started on day one. While we enjoyed the house itself and its excellent location, we are very disappointed that the owner chose to use our children as an excuse to avoid offering a partial refund or working with us to address these legitimate concerns.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Not responsive
This listing is newly renovated and looks great however, the owner is not responsive when there is an issue. We arrived on a Friday in July and had no a/c. I called, left a message, texted and finally received a message back hours later to turn down the a/c dial. Really!! After going back and forth she finally said someone would be there the next afternoon. So for the rest of the day, night and the next day we had nothing. Some of the windows have no screens so we couldn’t open the windows. No fans either. Her project manager couldn't get a babysitter so we waited for the owner to arrive to fix it. The issue seemed to be resolved. That night the a/c stopped working again. On Sunday I let the owner know the a/c was down again and her response was “feel free to open the windows”! Needless to say if we go back there this will not be the place I stay. Someone should have been there immediately to address the situation. The listing stated that a/c was included but it was not. On top of that the owner has extended stay people staying there and I guess they were inconvenienced by having to leave because I booked first! The lady was rude and very nosy to be honest. I had to search the house for her shoes that were left behind. The whole experience was not relaxing & definitely put a damper on our trip.
The owner needs to hire a project manager who will show up when needed. You are selling a product and not supplying what you said in the listing. It’s just very poorly managed.

Kara,
I’d like to give a full and technical answer about the AC. All I will say is that we fixed it on 4th of July weekend. Then you claimed it wasn’t working again, and the temperature outside was 63. It wasn’t working because you didn’t have it set below 63. I discovered this a day later when I arrived to find you had left sheets and towels wet over the house, including on rugs and in closets. You got a huge discount as my very first renter.
I am disappointed that your communication in person is kind and understanding and that you choose to be unkind and perhaps a bit vicious in writing. Despite your mess in leaving, I gave you the benefit of the doubt and rated you as a person to rent to again. I’ll revise that to rent to Kara at your own peril.
