OTHERS THINGS TO NOTE
IMPORTANT - Fill up on gas and get groceries before heading up the mountain. Closest gas station is about 30 miles/1 hour away (Bakersfield/Porterville/Springville) and closest groceries are 14 miles away from the local market and food options limited.
TRASH - We do not have any trash service in the mountains so we request all trash to be removed by the guests when leaving. You will be charged for any trash and/or food in fridge left.
Phone service can be limited up in the mountains…which isn’t necessarily a bad thing when you’re looking to get away and decompress. But Starlink internet runs pretty smoothly for Wifi, emails, & streaming.
IMPORTANT: In the winter season, 4-wheel drive and snow chains are required.
Please bring your own firewood/firestarter for the wood-burning stove. This is the cabin’s main source of heat. We also have fire wood for sale as well for $7 a bundle. Just let us know.

About the host
Hosted by Alicia

Hi, I’m Alicia. My husband Justin and I were born and raised in Michigan and have lived in Los Angeles now for 18 years. My husband is a musician/music producer and I am a professional stay-at-home mom. We met in college back in Michigan 20 years ago and have been married for 9 years. We have two amazing daughters (6 years old and 3 years old) who bring so much light to our lives. We’re an easygoing family who love to laugh, work hard, and play hard. We love going on nature adventures, having family dance parties, and pretty much anything that involves music! We love garage sales and finding vintage/unique treasures and you can see some of this love throughout our cabin.
DURING YOUR STAY
We enjoy meeting and connecting with new people from near and far and are so happy for the opportunity to host you on your getaway. We are easygoing, down-to-earth, accommodating and welcoming. Our cabin is an extension of this in many ways…simple, casual, charming and full of love and warmth.
We don’t live in the immediate area but we are always a text or phone call away. We are here to help make your stay as wonderful and relaxing as possible and help in any way we can.
We’ll be here for any questions you may have but also wish to respect your privacy during your getaway. Our goal is to make your experience as special and as unforgettable as possible.
We can’t wait to host you soon!

Why they chose this property
Justin and I instantly fell in love with our cabin and the magic of these mountains when we came to the Posey area for a holiday family getaway. The white snow, the crisp air, the trees, nature, and the slower pace of mountain life brought us back home to our Midwest roots. We love to hike and explore all around our property and have big dreams of building tree forts and new paths in the near future!
