Kuan Yin Cottage at Healing Waters of Shasta
Healing Waters of Shasta is located in the Medicine Spring Valley, at the foothills of the Eddies Mountain Range, basking in the natural beauty of alpine lakes and wetlands. Peace and serenity permeate the sacred land. On the 10 acres of land, there are 3 dwellings plus a studio for your solo, family or group retreat. A Crystal Pool and a creek, which is filled with mineral waters coming from Stewart Minerals Springs (now known as Pneuma Institute), flows between the main house & the cottages.
The Kwan Yin Cottage is perfectly situated in a forest of cedars and pines, right next to a beautiful flowing creek. This beautiful cottage is just a stone's throw away to the mystical "Crystal Pool" for a refreshing dip, as well as a short drive to many trailheads for the more adventurous. Experience the stunning views of the peaceful forest while you drift off to sleep listening to the soothing sounds of the creek.
The cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor eating deck with a creek view. Wifi is available but not 100% reliable due to our surroundings. The yoga platform is also nearby if you want to meditate outside in the woods.
Kwan Yin Cottage is licensed by Siskiyou County as a vacation rental so come, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature.

Dream within a dream
The property was a highly energetic yet peaceful serene environment where one easily recognizes they are one with nature. The accommodations were very comfortable and although the property was remote it wasn't too far to any of the surrounding adventures that lay in wait.

Beautiful and peaceful but needs a few touches
The cottage was sufficient, I only should mention a few inadequacies for this price. A guest was very dissatisfied with the pull out mattress, it was way too old and flat. A few items were missing from the kitchen, measuring cups and glass bakeware. The loft bed was cozy. The shower was nice, but tiny.
One remarkable thing that happened was that we needed an extra night, so we messaged the host about availability. The host was very accommodating and allowed us to pay for an extra night! Overall, I'm satisfied with our stay. Just needs a few updates.

Sorry to hear about the inadequacies. We did test out the sofa bed last year when we first bought the place and didn't feel anything that was out of the ordinary; however, we did ask the housekeeper to check it out again.
Healing Waters of Shasta is a sacred place for healing and awakening. We try to provide a place geared toward your spiritual awakening with its beauty and rustic lifestyles. May you and your guests have the spiritual awakening that we hope for all of our guests who stay at Healing Waters of Shasta.

This property is perfect for those who would like to get away from city life for a few days or weeks. It has a creek and a natural swimming hole filled with mineral waters that are good for you to cleanse your body in. Our backyard neighbor is Shasta Trinity Forest Forest. So if you want to sleep in nature, this is the perfect place for you to sleep and see the stars .
What makes this property unique
