This is a great place for large family vacations—our two dogs loved it too! Having two floors with kitchens and gathering spaces was great for our multigenerational family, giving everyone plenty of room to spread out while still having lots of space to spend time together. The cottage is very spacious, with great indoor and outdoor areas for meals and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the swimming and evenings around the fire making s’mores. We would definitely recommend this place for large families or groups!

I’m glad that your family enjoyed their stay at the cottage.
The cottage was nice. The lake was fairly calm. Perfect for the kids to swim in. The kids liked the sand and the water. We used the paddle boards, kayaks and the canoe. The deck was really nice, lots of space and big umbrellas. The bbq was piped into the propane so we didn't have to worry about running out. There were 2 fridges downstairs and 1 upstairs so lots of space. The air conditioning worked well.We were missing a paddle for one of the kayaks (didn't notice until a couple days into our stay). The downstairs bathroom could have been cleaned better. The tub plug also didn't fit the tub so we could only shower downstairs. The upstairs tub was better but does need to be snaked so it drains better. The dishwasher was broken and a service person had to be called. The road going to the cottage is basically 1 lane. Just go slow and bring a vehicle with some ground clearance. We brought bed sheets since the paperwork said to and didn't really need them. Most of the beds had sheets on them. The downstairs was fairly cold though so we did add extra sheets to those beds where needed.Overall a very nice place just needs a few small things dealt with.

The repair person and the other person who came to look at the dishwasher could not find anything wrong, and it works fine, there report it properly was user error. As for the upstairs tub, it was clean and drained well before you came. Perhaps picking up the hair from all who used it and not draining it in the drain would help. Sorry you found the road not a highway, but that is typically cottage roads in the area. As for the missing kayak paddle, in doing a check of paddles, it looks as though someone lost it and did not report it.
Well kept, spacious cottage great for large group and young children. Hill down to water is a steep walk, but not unbearable. Would definitely go back.
The lake was beautiful, had an easy entryway for the younger children, plenty of sand to play in and good swimming conditions.
The cottage was in good shape, able to accommodate our large group (12+) and had enough space. The cottage could have used a deeper clean before our arrival and adding linens to the amenities would go a long way.
Property was set good for our group of 11Ages ranging from 5 to old like meAlthough everything was in good working order some of the furniture could use a little spicing up And the BBQ could use a new burner or just a total replacement I was a little put off because we had to pay extra for the use of a canoe when usually kayak’s and canoe’s are normally provided in a stay like this Great Lake and the owners where helpful

The furniture is only 2 years old.BBQ is a year old; unfortunately, previous renters caused the damage. Those will be replaced next year. As to paying extra for a canoe, I thought having three (3) full-size fridges and a new 800 sq ft deck would be a better use of funds for renters than a free canoe.
We rented this property for a week for an annual extended family holiday and it suited our needs well. There is a very nice beach area at the lakefront which we really enjoyed. The lake is beautiful. The only caveat is that the cottage is up a rather steep hill from the lake which makes getting down to the lakefront tricky for anyone with mobility issues. But otherwise a great option.
Thank Charles for the opportunity to have a reunion with our 4 siblings and their families! It was lots of fun boating, fishing, swimming and just overall lots of laughter and reminiscing. Thank you. God bless. Viora Covach and family

Large bright and open space on a quiet part of Moore Lake
The property is large and bright and looks out onto a quiet part of a beautiful lake. There home itself had all the main utilities you could need. The space was open and it was nice having 2 floors of living space that could be used as a quiet zone for kids naps. It is at the top of a small steepish hill you walk down to get to the little beach and dock. Very nice place, with about a 15 minute drive on dirt/gravel hilly road that sometimes causes slips for the small cars.
A good week. Unnecessary stress related to counting #guests. The extra $50 was not an issue. There were many things needing fixing but the poor quality of the bunk bed created issues.

I am sorry to hear of the stress of keeping track of guests you had coming. It must be helpful to have three fridges for all those people and be allowed to bring up a 24 foof travel trailer. And the very large new deck must be a nice feature. This is the first time I heard of issues with the bunk beds.
A great spot on the water for a large group/family
The cottage and location is perfect for hosting large groups/families. There is plenty of space indoors as well as fridges/freezers for food storage. The deck is the perfect spot to have meals with plenty of seating/tables. The waterfront was beautiful with a sandy beach to wade into and the lake is very clean and refreshing. One of the boards was missing on the dock, however, which posed an injury risk if you weren’t paying attention while walking on it. Additionally, some beds were more comfortable than others. Downsides would be you have to take your own garbage and recycling to the garbage disposal centre, there were no watercrafts included but are available for an additional rental fee, and the cottage is quite expensive (although relatively comparable to similar set ups elsewhere). In general, a great place to stay and spend time together!

Thank you to bring to attention about the board on the dock, question is why did you not tell right away so it could be fixed.Which section on the dock is ? The cost of maintenance and hydro, it’s part of the reasons of the cost to rent. It’s interesting to have people have the air conditioning on when outside temperatures are lower.

General maintenance/upkeep issues throughout.. large gaps in the wood on the dock, broken umbrella outside, very uncomfortable furniture, one of the legs of the couch is held up with 4x4 piece of wood, the bbq was in very poor condition and needed to be thoroughly cleaned before we were able to use it. This is advertised with a second kitchen but the stove and microwave downstairs did not work. The basement tv also did not work and one of the basement bedroom doors did not fully close. The toilet in the 2nd bathroom (in basement) is uneven with cracked tiles all around and it felt very unstable. Overall this cottage is over-priced for the quality of it.

Sorry to hear of your issues. It would have been beneficial had you informed me while you were there, and I could have corrected some of the issues. Thank you for your comments we will incorporate the feedback to the upcoming maintenance season.

Large space, great view, cottage needs some TLC
-expensive for the lack of quality at this cottage we have rented many cottages over the past five years and have never felt that we didn’t get the value for our money until this cottage.
-lots of room for our three families, Great Lake for boating and swimming, beautiful view
-cottage needs to be cleaned, fridge, kitchen cupboards inside and out were dirty, walls had dead bugs squished on them, lots of ants in the kitchen in cupboards and countertops, there was ant traps in every room,
-large steep hill to get to the lake makes it hard to access water, lots of stairs to get in and out of cottage.
-lots of things broken around the cottage that should be fixed prior to renting to people. (Closet door, curtain rods, window screens, kitchen faucet leaks, deck is sturdy but the stairs are wobbly)
-kitchen is equipped with most necessities but it needs to be organized and cleaned and broken utensils should be replaced.
-there is no extras with this cottage, you have to bring everything.
-lastly the owners are on site, making this cottage not private and leaving us feeling as if we were being watched, owners dog pooped and peed on the grass beside us.

The location was very beautiful. The lake was amazing and the water was very clean. The cottage has a small sand beach where kids can swim safely. Inside, it was not very new and the basement was very old. The owner did not provide any soap and toilet paper, not even a single roll, so you need to bring everything including soap, dish soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, which was very annoying. Also, the garbage policy was a major hassle; you need to take all the garbage with you, which was very inconvenient for a large group. The beds were very old and noisy. Other than these issues, the owner was very friendly and lives next to the cottage. In total we like the place because of the location

Had you read the list of what to bring, which was supplied before booking, you would have known what to bring and taken the garbage away.
Also, you didnot leave at check-out and left garbage behind. Also, you used my paddleboat without permission.
And used my docks, other docks, and trampoline without permission, which are not close to the cottage that you rented. You walked behind and in front of my cottage when the boundary line of trees is clearly marked. You walked over 300 feet to use my docks! Without asking.
