Loved the location on the lake, you really can’t beat the view! Only about 8 min drive from everything in sister bay. The beds are not the most comfortable and the set up is a little strange with one of the bedrooms located through another room, but we made it work! Messaged the host about early check in and they were able to accommodate us quickly which we appreciated so much. The outside of the house could use a little cleaning from bugs/dirt as well just to make hanging out outside a little more enjoyable. Overall we loved staying here and would stay here again.
We had 8 adults and 3 small children. The size of the home was perfect. The lake views were gorgeous. We spent every evening by the fire pit and watching the stars & moon. As we slept , we could hear the waves coming in. With 6 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms, everyone was comfortable. Plenty is room to spread out. Hoping to come back again
The main draw to this house was that it had enough rooms to accommodate the large group of family members I was traveling with. It was spacious and overall clean. The location was far enough away from town but not too far. Some issues we discovered during our stay:
The day of the check-in I received an email from the property manager that the upstairs AC was not working and that the repair would not be able to happen until we checked out. We were advised to open the windows upstairs if needed. Temps outside were around high 60s and low 70s during the stay so it wasn't too terrible but some of my family members did get hotter than they would have liked, especially while sleeping at night.
There were ants in the upstairs bathroom, various light bulbs were out or dull in the living area, the 1/2 bath toilet continuously ran, dining room chairs had sticky pads on bottom of the legs that kept falling off and sticking to the floor, water pressure in the showers were very bad. If you need high water pressure for showering, I would advise to look elsewhere. I believe there were issues with the septic tank - we reported this upon check out. We were not able to run the washer the last night/morning before check out. Lastly I would strongly advise the owners to secure or reinforce the walkways out in the back yard. Stepping stones/rocks are very wobbly and dangerous for older folks and kids. Would be beneficial if they sprayed the yard for mosquitos. Fit our needs for the short term.
