Space was very clean and worked really well for our stay. I liked there was a pack and play for our little one, which saved us from having to figure out how to bring one.
This was a perfect spot for our family. Very convenient for travel and a great space to hang out.We were out here for a funeral and it was a nice hub to come back to after everything.
The house was just as advertised. Owner was very communicative and available for issues. Safe area with many wonderful restaurants walking distance from the house. We simply drove to a metro station for quick ride to DC.
Perfect accommodations and location for our family trip to the sites of DC. Would definitely stay again! And Mark was very accessible and responsive. Highly recommend!
Our family spent 5 days here when we came to bury my husband at ANC. It was conveniently located in a good neighborhood. The unit was very nicely equipped. The beds were soooo comfortable! We will definitely look for this property when we return to the area.
5 bedrooms with big, comfortable beds is hard to find when we travel as a family. We not only got that but very comfortable, nicely furnished common areas and a well-equipped kitchen. This was a great choice for a wedding that brought 3 generations and multiple adult couples together. Mark has set up a great coffee bar and all the other things that you want when traveling, and he’s a good communicator numerous restaurants and stores in walking distance.
We were in town for a graduation and Mark's place fit the bill perfectly. Lots of room for the 8 of us, and guests who came for dinner. Turns out the home is 10 minutes from both our daughters' homes. Perfect!
This was a staycation for my friend’s 50th birthday celebration. I informed the host prior to staying it would be a 50th birthday celebration get together. The house accommodated us well but we wished it had a few more mirrors (we are all ladies and like to see how we looked and to do makeup). It was in a nice area and very close to DC. The host provided coffee and various teas. The kitchen had everything we needed except a blender. We enjoyed our stay except when we received two warnings that we were being too loud during non-quiet hours (by an in home system). There was 8 of us talking and hanging out in the living area (at the dinning table) while our chief was cooking for the get together when we received our first warning. We received our second warning when we were singing happy birthday. We were not playing loud music or yelling. My only complaint is that we received those two warnings during non-quiet hours. We felt like we could not talk as a group in the living area which was a bit upsetting and a shame since we really like the house. Overall, the host was extremely communicative, the house was well kept (clean), nice area (near a park for kids) and the neighbors were really nice. Maybe better suited for a family getaway.
The location is great. Walking distance of many local restaurants; and only 15 to 20 minutes driving distance to many of the tourist attractions. The home was great for our family of 8 adults with a bedroom left over. Everyone had their own space. And the living room made a great gathering space for family time. The home is as described and pictured. Mark the owner/host made our stay extra special with ideas and suggestions. He was always only a fingertip away with answers to questions. Look forward to booking our next stay.
Mark's place in Alexandria was perfect for our family's stay. We were in town for a promotion ceremony at Joint Base Andrews and to do a little DC sightseeing. This house was in a very convenient location. The neighborhood is super cute and walkable. We Ubered to most things but we did walk around the neighborhood and it was scenic and safe with lots of families residing in the area.
The beds were super comfy and the place was roomy enough for 4 adults and 2 pre teens. We loved the Swedish décor and we all raved about the Nespresso machine and the nice English teas.
The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We had the pleasure of meeting the host and he was so accommodating. I would recommend this VRBO to others looking for a safe low key place to stay near DC. Thanks so much, Mark!
This property was perfect for our weekend, we had 9 adult woman staying to attend a bridal shower. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we needed along with many extras, even had a delivery of flavored tea bags arrive for us as we were there. Mark was wonderful and answered my messages promptly. He does have a no shoe policy in the house which some girls didn’t realize when they packed and did not bring slippers but I had received his message in enough time before I left that I was able to pick up extra socks for all my friends that had packed the night before and were already at work the day we were leaving when I sent the bring slippers message, since it’s flip flop season most had not packed socks. If I had to come up with one complaint it would be to have known that rule just a day earlier but I figured I’d just give that advice here to future guests. I would definitely recommend staying at this property you will not be disappointed. Great location easy parking and can walk easily to restaurants or a short drive to old town.
Host was super friendly and helpful with recommendations. Plenty of bedrooms and very well stocked in every dept (except fridge) Great location- would definitely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable. It was so nice to have good coffee and tea to choose from. It’s was a nice space to gather with the family. Location was perfect.
I think the location of this property and the size are great especially for the cost! Mark was great at communicating with us and reached out several times. However I think cleanliness is a slight issue. The bathroom did not appear to be cleaned. The bathroom trash was full, the toilet seat was a bit dirty and the shower curtain needed to be washed as well. There was also hair on the pillows and sheets of one of the main bedrooms. We still were able to enjoy our stay under these circumstances but it could use improvement!
We had 6 sisters staying for the weekend and everything was great. Each of us had our own bedroom but two people can easily stay in each room. Beds were comfy. I would suggest bringing slippers if you need to wear shoes because there is a no shoe rule in the house. Very pretty walkable neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.
