A small indoor dog visits occasionally with our daughter. We ask that you not have doggie visitors except on the patio. Registered Guests only for overnight, but Grandkids are always welcome! This Private Flat was way beyond our expectations. It is beautifully appointed with tasteful furniture and artwork, has great kitchen with everything you might need for preparing a meal, and is roomy and quiet. The bed is very comfortable and there is a compact washer and dryer unit for doing quick loads of laundry. Our host was very accommodating and friendly and made us feel welcome. We hope to stay here again. Thank you Carole, you provided a gem of an apartment for our stay.

This is one of our all-time favorite vacation rentals. The apartment is spacious, very comfortably and warmly furnished, full kitchen, and even basic condiments in the refrigerator. The location is in a charming neighborhood of Victorian houses that is quite walkable - just a few blocks from downtown Petaluma - but also very quiet at night. Carole is very responsive and seems to have thought of everything. We have already booked a return visit for the summer.
I almost don't want to tell you all how AMAZING it was because I want to be able to get in next time we come! Carole is a fantastic host and her space is serene, clean and like a dream. My entire family lives in Petaluma so we come to visit quite often - we are so happy to know Carole now and will ALWAYS try to stay with her. She has truly thought of everything. The most well-appointed rental we have ever stayed in. Thank you Carole for making this trip so perfect!!
Exceedingly clean, comfortable, updated and tasteful property in one of my favorite Petaluma neighborhoods (gorgeous historic homes, quick walk to charming downtown). So many thoughtful touches, like delicious complimentary snacks and beverages (even vegan ones that I could enjoy, yay!), toiletries, etc. The apartment doesn't get terribly warm but I appreciated the A/C/dehumidify option since it was an unusually muggy week. Carole is a caring and responsive host. This is a fairly active neighborhood and a basement apartment, so it's not a silent retreat (there was some expected overhead sounds, nearby home renovations, etc.), but as long as you know that going in you will be thrilled with this gem.

We enjoyed hosting Shasta! She left the place spotless. Sorry our neighbor was doing an outdoor project, since normally our house (and especially the first floor) are tucked away and very quiet except for occasional plumbing or footsteps.
This flat is amazing! It is spacious, comfortable, well appointed and very clean. It is located within walking distance to fun downtown Petaluma with great restaurants and shops.The bed is comfortable and the upholstery furniture is nice quality and nicely designed. The host provides many extra nice touches; soft comfy robes, bottled water, coffee, tea, spices, lotions, fans, washer and dryer, plenty of dishes and cooking utensils- all labeled with how to use plus hints for activities and dining.We did not prepare a meal there since it was such a pleasant walk into town for great morning bagel sandwiches or exquisite pastries.We were there for 4 nights for a few special events but we still made time for a quick trip to Sonoma and Healdsburg and San Francisco.I wished all the VRBO hosts and units were this professional!
Totally charming, comfortable place in lovely quiet neighborhood
If you love to be around wonderfully crafted furniture, unusual paintings, ceramics and more, not to mention a private patio with overhanging enormous trees for a meal or just a cup of something, you will really enjoy this place. Plus the host was just incredibly responsive, getting back to me every time within 15 minutes about whatever question I might have had. Everything you need, tucked into this slightly underground charmer. Not to mention the amazing variety of plants, flowers, trees and shrubs both around this home and the whole neighborhood. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.
