The Space:

Indulge in the spacious top floor, featuring a gourmet kitchen with custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances, perfect for culinary creations. The expansive dining room is ideal for shared meals, while the great room offers ample seating and a large widescreen TV with a sound bar for relaxing evenings. The sun-drenched king en suite master bedroom provides a serene retreat. On the main level, discover a king en suite bedroom, a double bunk bedroom with an en suite, and a queen bedroom sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom with a twin bedroom. A desk is available for those needing a workspace. The ground level is all about fun, with a game room boasting board games, family games, a vintage Nintendo, a widescreen TV, surround sound, a pool table, and a wet bar with a full-size refrigerator. A ground-floor master suite with a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom completes the picture. Enjoy the private pool, open from April 15 to October 20th, with pool heating available for an extra charge. The hot tub will open all year round. The property offers parking for 6-7 vehicles. There are 5 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms. We only provide beach chairs as a beach essential.

Here, lighthouses keep watch over curling waves, and old shipwrecks sleep beneath the surface, echoing the region’s long history of sailors, storms, and saltwater resilience. Mornings come easy, with the scent of sea air drifting through open windows and the sound of gulls calling out above sandy rooftops. Days unfold slowly: maybe a bike ride to a local bakery, a sun-drenched afternoon combing the beach for shells, or a quiet paddle through the still waters of a soundside inlet. As dusk settles in, bonfires glow softly in the dunes, laughter carries across porches, and the stars arrive in full, unbothered, unfiltered, and endless.



Getting Around:

Can You Really Drive on the Beaches There? Yes! If your vehicle has 4-wheel drive, you can access the 4×4 beaches here. In fact, if you’re renting any of the vacation rental homes on Carova Beach, you’ll need to use the beach access lanes to get there. Please note, the rules for off-road driving and parking have been updated for the coming season, so check for current information on obtaining the proper passes.



Scenic highways connect each island, with ferry options offering passage to more remote stretches. Many areas are bike-friendly, and walking from cottage to coastline is always part of the charm.

Rental Agreement

After booking your stay with us, we kindly ask our guests to complete a rental agreement. This is a standard procedure designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all parties involved in renting homes in North Carolina. When signing the rental agreement, you are agreeing to share this agreement and the house rules with all parties that will be on the property during your stay. This rental agreement applies to "everyone" staying or visiting the property. If you are booking on Airbnb, you will receive a link to the rental agreement in the Airbnb app.



Guest Verification with Truvi

To protect our homes and enhance your peace of mind, Sojourn partners with Truvi, a third-party guest verification platform. You’ll receive a direct message from Truvi to complete your verification. Please complete this step before check-in. Visit Truvi’s website to learn more.



Trust & Safety Fee

Our company applies a single, nonrefundable fee for a Safely Protection Policy. We do not collect a security deposit. A Safely Protection Policy (short-term rental insurance) ensures that the guest, the home and its contents are protected during the stay.



Property Access & Maintenance

From time to time, our homes may require preventative or emergency maintenance. While we make every effort to avoid any interruptions to your stay, Sojourn reserves the right to access the property after providing 24 hours’ written notice. Your comfort is our priority, and we appreciate your understanding.



Baby Gear (Optional Add-On)

Traveling with little ones? We’re happy to offer Pack & Plays and high chairs for your convenience. These items must be reserved in advance and are available for a $25 rental fee per item.



Pet Policy

Most of our residences are pet friendly and welcome your four-legged companions. While most booking platforms include the pet fee upon reservation, any exclusions will be invoiced at $100 per pet (max of 2 dogs). Kindly inform us of any pets joining your stay so we may update your reservation accordingly. We do love furry companions, but we do have some properties that are not pet-friendly. If you’re traveling with a pet please ensure this is a pet-welcoming home. If it is not, we’d be happy to recommend one of our many pet-friendly stays.
