Very happy with our stay at this charming home. Location was perfect for our time in Kirtland. The home was as described, clean and comfortable in every way.
Great spot for our extended family of seven visiting more family in Kirkland. Temperature outside never got above -12C but house stayed warm and toasty. Driveway ploughed every morning so huge snowfall not an issue! Everything we needed and as described. Only bummer was coffee machine did not work (sadly missed on a winters morning) but apart from that we had a very good stay. I personally never heard the road but ear plugs were provided if it was an issue. Wood definitely stay again

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We’re glad to hear the home stayed warm and cozy despite the cold temperatures and that the daily plowing made winter travel easy for your family. It’s great to know the space worked well for your group and met expectations overall. We appreciate you mentioning the coffee machine issue—sorry about that, especially on a cold winter morning—and thank you for your understanding. We’d be happy to welcome you back again anytime.
The house was in excellent shape- charming even! The game room was so much fun - loved the foosball and the window/door to the kitchen. The location was great. I loved the pond and waterfall behind the house. I loved how the kitchen was closed off with a door so early-risers didn’t wake up late-risers. We also appreciated an exception to the “no pets” rule. It cost a lot, 150, for the exception… but we really wanted this well-behaved pup with us! This was the perfect place for a family get away! We gave it a 4, not a 5, because the coffee machine was broken (and we needed it), a chair in the kitchen was broken so the kitchen wasn’t as usable for early risers, and the bed for the 9th person was under the bed… didn’t know… so the 1st night, we were down a bed. But otherwise the host was great and the location was great!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and detailed review! We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the charm of the home, the game room, the peaceful pond and waterfall setting, and how well the layout worked for different schedules—those are some of our favorite features too. We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding the pet exception and are happy your pup could join the getaway. Thank you as well for noting the issues you encountered with the coffee machine, kitchen chair, and extra bed—your feedback is helpful and appreciated. We’re glad overall the home and location made for a great family stay, and we’d be happy to welcome you back again in the future.
Very cozy and quaint home. The grounds are well kept, & the interior is very clean and welcoming. Location is quite peaceful even though you can hear traffic. They do supply earplugs. Nice selection of everyday items for your trip. Good communication with owners.

Thank you for the thoughtful review! We're happy to hear you enjoyed the cozy home, peaceful setting, and found everything clean and well-stocked. Glad communication was smooth, and we’d love to host you again!
Overall we loved the property, and location. The property around the farmhouse is full of natural beauty. We loved the antiques inside the home. The home suited our needs, and was well supplied for our family of 9. This is an older home with character which we found to be fun, and charming.

Thank you for the thoughtful review — we're glad the home and property suited your family's needs and that you enjoyed its character and setting!
We had fun! It's a quirky old house and our kids enjoyed exploring the house and the yard. Everything worked fine. It was exactly what we needed for our couple of nights in Kirtland.

Great having you all Jacob! Glad you had a nice time
This property is a peaceful and quiet get away. We stayed for a week for a wedding and enjoyed the numerous parks nearby during our down time. Would definitely recommend.
Willow Woods Retreat was the perfect place for our geographically-dispersed family to celebrate Christmas together. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was roomy and well supplied with appliances, cookware, and dishes. Thermostat made room climate easy to regulate. We look forward to returning!

Thanks for staying Carol! Can't wait to have you all back!
The house and the area were exactly as described. The owners were well organized and had perhaps the very best property guide book that I have ever seen. We knew exactly what to look for and how to use everything. Really great place and we look forward to staying again in the future
Cozy but surprised photos are out dates and don’t reflect accurate condition of back yard / patio area. Surprised no supplies to do s’mores or enjoy a fire. Wood available but no small kindlin to start fire with.
We loved the property and all of it's historical architecture and antiques. It was such a peaceful home and our kids never touched an electronic device! The pond at night with the bull frogs and fish jumping was so peaceful and relaxing and was a great place to wind down each night and chat before heading to bed. We generally struggle to sleep when away from home, but this house was homey and comfortable we couldn't even make it through the first page of a book or a start of a movie before we were sound asleep! Our host was amazing and stayed in contact through emails leading up to and throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed. Such an amazing place to create some family memories!

Thank you for the wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the home's historic charm, peaceful atmosphere, and quality family time—especially unplugged! It’s great to hear you felt so at home and well-rested. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for more special memories!
We really enjoyed this vintage charmer! There were MANY strong points to the property such as the beautiful and spacious kitchen, 2 bathrooms, large upstairs bedrooms, game room, kids toys, awesome laundry room, and outdoor entertaining area. The hosts provided plenty of toiletries, linens, as well as, kitchen and laundry essentials that you and your family may need for your stay.
We loved this beautiful home. It was just minutes away from Historic Kirtland so it made it easy to come back and forth. We also enjoyed Squire Castle. The house was charming and bigger than we expected. Everything was clean and organized. We picked this home because of the year it was built, as we wanted to help them get a feel for the history of Historic Kirtland, it was perfect for that.
The house and the furnishings were beautiful, as was the historic area. There was a dead duck out by the pond and when the hosts were alerted, they apologized, but it wasn’t taken care of. We were bummed there was a three-day minimum stay, because we could only be there two nights, but we were aware of that at time of booking.

Hi Lisa, thank you for the review. Regarding the dead duck, we believe in nature taking its course. It is sad the duck died, but the pond was his home and a good final resting spot.
