We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beach property! The home was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. Every room was well stocked with everything we could possibly need, making our stay feel effortless and relaxing. There was even items for children’s use which was great. The private beach was just steps away, which was absolutely perfect. The communication with the host was fantastic. The property was truly a wonderful find, and we would happily stay here again!

This property exceeded our expectations! We had PLENTY of room for two families and later in the week, for two parents and four teenage girls. It was extremely clean and the hosts thought of simply everything. I wish ALL properties were like this one!

This is a spectacular property in every sense. Dawn is extremely responsive, even as I peppered her with questions! We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties, and some have some of the qualities found here, but none so far have them all. This property has it all! We honestly didn't want to leave! We chose it based on location and listed amenities. Dawn has this house stocked and clean. We cook a lot for being on vacation, mainly due to being Celiac, and this house had tons of those little add-ons you forget to bring like oils and spices. It has a plethora of excellent cookware including glass pans which we use at home all the time! There should not be a week that goes by that this place is not rented! I wish it was closer to our home becuase I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you, Dawn, for a great stay!

Great last minute get away

This was one of the best rentals I’ve had. It was a perfect place to take local adventures from and we had a great time playing on the beach and riding bikes to the public beach! I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic Beach Getaway

Perfect getaway!

Immaculate house with more amenities than you can imagine. Dawn had amazing recommendations and was In constant communication. This was a trip back to where I grew up and it was great to see the old haunts and the new. Thank you for providing us with the perfect place for our little getaway.

Wonderful weekend

Had a wonderful moms weekend getaway. The house was beautiful and the location was great, close to Mystic and wineries. Hotel level amenities were a huge plus. Dawn was very responsive and kind. We will absolutely recommend to family and friends

We had a wonderful stay for CONN College family weekend. The home was very clean and comfortable. The hosts went out of their way to have the kitchen stocked with all cooking necessities. We were able to hosts the kids for breakfast with ease. Gracious hosts!!! Thank you

It's all about family and the memories we can create together! The local restaurant fare is amazing and vast from seafood shanty's to white tablecloth dining; you choose. If you decide to eat in your kitchen is well equipped for cooking & baking with plentiful table settings. Enjoy grinding your coffee beans to get your day started in your French press or drip coffee maker! Tazo Awake tea for our tea fans. Brenda, thank you for choosing to stay at the Cottage. Clean, well stocked home

The house was sparkling clean upon arrival, there were snacks and coffee in the kitchen, and the bathrooms were stocked with basic toiletries and high quality towels. We were very happy with the house and outdoor space. Dawn was incredibly communicative and helpful. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Beach Home !

If you’re pondering with the idea whether to stay or keep searching for another place, I strongly suggest you stop and book this home if it’s available, we had a very good experience. The beach is across the street. The house is immaculate, really I don’t believe there will be a better option in this area. The host was beyond accommodating and really made our stay much better. We will be back for sure, I rarely provide reviews, but in this case I made an exception. Hope you enjoy your time here!

Seaside getaway

The Lighthouse cottage was absolutely stunning and perfect for our annual family getaway. I usually take my nephew and nieces away for a few days rather than giving them gifts during the year. I cherish the time together and it’s often challenging to find a place that will accommodate us. We all loved the home, its amenities, and the location (close to Mystic and Stonington). Dawn’s communication and suggestions were super helpful! You won’t regret booking this beautiful home! Thank you!

Hidden gem for relaxing girls weekend!

My two besties and I were looking for a get away to celebrate our birthdays and we could not be happier to have stayed at Dawn's house - it is truly a hidden gem!!! We originally looked at Mystic / Newport area but ultimately wanted to find a house where we could relax and walk to the beach. We didn't know much about New London, but had searched the coast using the map function and the property seemed perfect. We were SO impressed with how it exceeded our expectations! We live in CT and have driven through New London, but didn't realize it had such beautiful properties on the water. This house is less than a block from a private sandy beautiful beach, a nice walk to a buzzy boardwalk, and there are great restaurant options nearby. It was PERFECT for us. Dawn is definitely a super host. You can feel it in the way she has maintained and decorated her home for guests. Being on a girls weekend, we wanted it to feel a bit elevated and this house delivered. The house is not only clean but has a beautiful modern feel, the bedrooms are perfectly sized, updated bathrooms, there is a ton of natural light, adorable outdoor seating, the perfect selection of kitchenware, new clean beach chairs and towels. Even the toiletries, towels, hairdryer, etc were top notch. While Dawn respected our privacy we were so happy to meet her as she was incredibly friendly and we got to share our compliments with her - and told her we'll be booking again next year! It's a hidden gem!

We are still trying to get over having to leave this beautiful home. The property was one of the most well-stocked places we've ever stayed at. There was nothing to do but relax. Foghorns, ferry whistles, waves, sand. The stuff dreams are made of. Highly recommend to follow Dawn's dining guide: Capt. Scotts, Fred's, On the Waterfront (Chucks, if you know you know), Washington St. Coffee, and my personal favorite, Michael's Dairy. Go into Niantic and buy a bazillion books at the Book Barn. That way you can sit and relax and enjoy your stay on the beach. The communication with Dawn was exceptional. I have absolutely nothing negative to say except for I'm pouting because I am in the northern Virginia heatwave and not sitting on the beach.
