An ideal vacation for 6 people or less over 25 years old to “unplug” and get away from fast-paced living.

Please no smoking or open flames. Our desert could easily go up in flames and our location makes it especially hard for a fire truck to access it.

Absolutely beautiful location. The property is well maintained, with lots of fun little nooks and crannies for selfies or hanging out. The view from the property is amazing. Jenny is an extremely responsive host who clearly cares about the quality of her property. Definitely worth a return trip.

We loved our stay here! The views, property, and house felt so special. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and there were plenty of towels, pool towels, linens, etc. The host was kind, helpful, and prompt in her replies. Fantastic location for our visit to Joshua Tree National Park. Quick drive to the North Entrance, which never had a line to get in. The house was a beautiful setting with all the amenities we could want. Loved having the hot tub for a soak after days of hiking and climbing in the park.

The house is in a spectacular location, a specialness in landscaping and design that makes it stand-out as a place to remember; an ambience of luxury. For those over 60, there are sudden steps up and down in and out of the house that need to be watched out for, but we loved being very close to the National Park and feeling separated from the rush of town life.

A beautiful, private retreat blended nicely into the natural surroundings. The photos do not do justice to the location and the view from this property. The house is perched on the hillside with sweeping views of the surrounding area. The large windows fill the house with natural light. Convenient to both the North and West entrances to Joshua Tree NP. Hard to imagine a better lodging experience in this area.

We stayed in this house with our family and had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is very clean, and all the furniture inside is high quality. Everything is thoughtfully designed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, down to the smallest details. The house fully matches the photos and the description — everything is exactly as advertised. Had a lovely stay with my wife. The home has a great view and is very private on a hillside. A large great room and bedrooms. The outdoor area very nice to lounge in by the pool. The weather was not very hot and the pool was pretty cold because it is unheated. We would happily come stay here again.

Why they chose this property

Our home is made out of lava rocks, with the border of Joshua Tree National Park as your backyard, and panoramic views of the city from the front yard. The house has a large open entertainment-friendly layout downstairs with expansive windows to take in the views from all directions and two large bedrooms upstairs with ensuite bathrooms. The house sits high on a mountain side with plenty of privacy, peace, and quiet. The neighborhood is quiet and sparse to take in the raw desert views. It isn't uncommon to hear coyotes howling and see quail and roadrunners scurrying about. The houses in the area are mostly one house per 5 acres.

What makes this property unique

The uniqueness of this property is its location! It is surrounded by Joshua Tree National Park on 3 sides and it overlooks the city. It is high on a mountainside and it would be hard to replicate a property in 29 Palms or Joshua Tree that sits this high on a mountainside. It is also surrounded by lava rock and pink marble throughout the main level downstairs with floor to ceiling windows to showcase the view.
