We had an excellent family holiday, 13 of us. The area around in the Vendee has plenty of to see and experience. The house is large and the bedrooms adequate. The highlight of the holiday was definitely the large swimming pool. This made the holiday particularly for the grandchildren. The kitchen facilities were just adequate when cooking for 13 people. A few more saucepans would help. The downside is the very poor shower units, very cramped. The shower unit in the Gite is shockingly bad, no temperature control and very small and cramped. Water tends to spill out onto the floor. The shower fixing was loose on the wall. Shower head is far too low, only comes to shoulder height. Toilet roll holder in WC not fixed properly. A big disappointment bearing in mind the price of the stay. Could not receive the terrestrial TV channels on the TV other than a few using the Apple TV box and this doesn't work very well, no subtitles either. Overall, a great family holiday. If the showering facilities were upgraded I would definitely go again.
