The house was very cozy, and the property was very well maintained. We had everything we needed in the house for preparing meals. The weather was uncooperative, but we enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the lake view regardless of the weather. The view of the lake was so beautiful! Cathy was a very accommodating hostess for our stay and was great to communicate with. We had a very good weekend!
Two retirees looking to get away from the city for a few days. Quaint lake house. Totally renovated interior. Totally supplied kitchen, including coffee bar. Wonderful lake view. Great birding. Quiet section of lake. Only caution would be if you are older and your knees are already giving out, getting down to the lake would not be easy. Fortunately ours still function well.
We were down in the area for a wedding in Macon, and decided to make a mini vacation out of it - find a unique place to stay. We were thrilled to find Cathy's cottage on the lake. It was even better than we anticipated, and we felt like we were staying with family rather than a sterile rental home. She had so many special touches throughout the home - I loved the flowers she left in vases, and the beautiful potted plants and flowers all over the property. We chose her home because she offered the kayaks, allowed pets, and was right on the lake. We were on the porch most of our stay, enjoying the view (this end of the lake seemed to be quiet). The neighbors were friendly, and it was a very peaceful stay. The kitchen was well stocked for everything we needed (grill tools, cooking tools, etc) and the home was clean. Honestly, we went into town one night for dinner and regretted it. It was so much nicer to just stay home and enjoy the beauty of the lake! Thank you, Cathy, for sharing your home!
It is a nice clean beautiful waterfront property. We did Thanksgiving there with our family. The host is very accommodating and the kitchen has anything u need to cook. Very quite and peaceful.
We really enjoyed our stay! The location is great and we had everything we needed. The owner was so nice and very responsive. We were easily able to visit the university in Milledgeville and enjoy time on the lake. Boat launch was close by. Would definitely stay again!
Nice stay and nice lakefront property for a small family. The lake view is great. Mornings and evenings on the porch overlooking the lake are quite relaxing.
Everything was as described and we felt right at home. Host was very helpful and communicated with us well. It was a very chill and relaxing weekend. Will stay again! 5 stars all around!
Cathy was an outstanding host. Her lake house was just perfect for what we needed. We were without power and water during Hurricane Helene and decided to take a trip to Lake Sinclair for a few days. The lake views from the porch were amazing not to mention the sunsets. The bedding and other furnishings were extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. As others have mentioned, the kitchen was the most well stocked we have ever seen in all our travels. We especially liked that we could take our Yorkie with us. Above all, Cathy was so friendly and accommodating. We would definitely rent her lake house again in the future. It is in a quiet part of the lake where noise is not an issue.
We had such a wonderful time at this home. The house was very clean, clutter free and comfortable! The kitchen table was great for games. The coffee bar had everything we needed to fix the type of coffee we wanted. The beds were comfy, and the couch area was a great place to lounge after wearing ourselves out on the water. The gentle slope was easy to traverse back and forth from dock to house. Great swimming area beside dock. Our dog had a great time! And the owner of the home thoughtfully left us fresh cut flowers and a balloon for my son’s bday! I would definitely recommend this spot for a conveniently located home that has all the things you need for a relaxing lake vacation!
Great time at the property. Cathy was so responsible and helpful making sure we had everything we needed! Once she knew we had two small kids coming she left some toys out for them to play with during our stay. The property is beautiful. The kitchen was big and well stocked. And it was perfect for us and our toddlers. I plan to return!
It was perfect, we were celebrating Christmas, New Years weekend. The house was decorated for Christmas. I took decorations and added them. It was perfect. Very clean and fully stock refrigerator and cabinets. I took all of our food, but if I needed something, it was available. Awesome!!
We stayed at Cathy's house last week for a last minute short trip before my son returned to school. Cathy is WONDERFUL to work with! She is so kind and thoughtful. She made us feel right at home. She responded quickly to any questions or comments I had. Her house was beautifully decorated and very clean. We loved being on her dock and kayaking in the lake. Her yard is picturesque and the neighborhood was quiet. We loved our stay and will definitely return next summer! Thank you Cathy for all you did to make our stay memorable and special!
First, let me discuss the property and then I'll get to the really good stuff. This home was exactly as advertised. A cozy, split-level on a beautiful piece of property right on the Lake. It was cold when we went, but I want to go back and fish and kayak more. (We were in town to work on a project). I enjoyed my morning coffee and my afternoon reading with beautiful Lake views. Our dogs had plenty of room inside & outside, there is even a small dog run. The fire pit table by the water is a lovely spot to settle down and relax after working all day. The split-level/loft made me feel cozy and connected to everyone. I have to say I was worried, before the stay, about only 1.5 bathrooms - but there was not ever an issue with 5 of us staying. Now - to discuss Cathy - the host. Cathy is THE BEST HOST I have ever had with VRBO. She clearly takes pride in being a host. I will sing her praises from the treetops. Why was she the best host? I felt so welcomed and at ease. So taken care of. And, as a mom on vacation, you're not usually taken care of but rather doing to taking care of. Go, and you'll see. I'm not going to tell secrets. Cathy's kindness, southern hospitality, and attention to detail are unlike any I've experienced in a VRBO. GO!
