The cabin was an absolutely outstanding place to stay. Central to many of the waterfalls our crew was here to explore and not too far from a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin was clean and inviting and my kids had a great time looking at all the decorations and the horses across the street. I would definitely recommend the cabin.
Absolutely wonderful; incredible place in middle of waterfalls, lakes, streams, fly fishing, white water rafting, kayaking or just relaxing. We would definitely come back!!! Everything we were hoping for & much more!
Our family stayed here to visit a student at WCU. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, and had some lovely personal touches like the decor. We plan to be back!!
This cozy cabin in the woods was perfect for a weekend girls getaway. It provided seculsion while also being easy to get to and conveniently located near the downtown areas of both Cashiers and Highlands. We really enjoyed our time here.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, mostly because of the cool weather. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the setting is very peaceful. The only things we missed were any sort of view or an easy place to walk (other than the road.)
Cabin was easy in - easy out location. Location was half way between Cashiers and Highlands. Small cabin, but plenty enough room....with a lot of character! I wish we would have had longer to stay, but went up for a family member's wedding in Highlands.
This property was just what we needed for an overnight stay. There is plenty of room inside for the 3 bedrooms to comfortably accommodate our group. The house was clean and had all the basic ammenities you could need. Joy and Steeve were very responsive and helpful! I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the surrounding woods of the cabin!
Great cabin for our family to relax after busy days exploring the beautiful area. As others have already mentioned, the kitchen is small, furniture is older, the downstairs bedroom has an open entry, and the fireplace gives off a smoke smell even when not in use. However, we expected all these things and had a very comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed relaxing and bird watching on the back porch rocking chairs and visiting the two horses across the street. We hope to visit again!
This property was just what we expected based on pictures and previous reviews. It has the character of a home of its age. And, yet you can tell that the owners take care of it. It feels solid, cozy and comfortable. Yes, the kitchen is small. However, it was entirely functional for basic food prep. We will stay again on a future trip
Super clean comfortable Great WiFiVery small kitchen but other than breakfast we ate out. Had some fun times watching the horse across the street he was very vocal. Would stay again close to both Cashiers Highlands or Lake Glenville
We enjoyed our visit. Comfortable beds and quiet porch. Very small kitchen, but you have what you need. It really is under the trees and peaceful. Would have loved to have had places to walk-the walk to the creek was not possible because of high weeds. I didn’t catch that the checkout was an hour earlier than most places (10:00 am), so we were rushing after breakfast.
We really enjoyed our spontaneous trip to Cashiers/Highlands area where we hiked and explored this beautiful area seeing beautiful scenery and stunning waterfalls! Yellow Mountain cabin was a joy to return to..nestled in a serene landscape this cozy cabin didn’t disappoint..it was quiet, cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated..the hosts have all the comforts of home to share with their guests .. we are extremely happy with our choice ..
Waterfalls visit with one senior citizen, a 15 year old and an 11 year old. Lovely accommodation and cozy. Never did figure out how to get the lamps to turn on in the master, but managed with my flashlight to be able to read. We all love the homey feel and enjoyed the little tall grass walk to see the creek on the property. We would stay here again!
We were very happy with our accommodations at The Cabin. We really didn't get to enjoy being at the house because it was a quick come and go. I appreciated the host allowing us to check-in earlier due to a 5:00 wedding in Highlands. We would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is the additional fees added to the nightly fee.
Drove there from Florida. Pulled in yard very grown up. We have a brand new truck and it took many tries to get it turned around without getting it scratched up with brush and low hanging tree limbs. Could not back out due to it being a very busy road. Walked into the house it was very dark and outdated and had musty smell. We did not stay I made arrangements to stay our week at another place. Very disappointed.
