Thank you so much for your review, Monique! We were thrilled to host you and would love to see you return!
Thank you Lois and Dave for being such great hosts and sharing your piece of paradise with us. It is definitely a special place, and we hope to return!
We had a great stay at the beach house. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Lois, our host, checked in with us during our stay and provided activities and events happening in the area. We enjoyed the morning sunrises and lounging on the deck listening to the ocean waves.
This place is perfect for relaxation and spending quality time with the fam. The house is spacious, very clean and well maintained. You have your own private beach; the water is ice cold but its perfect for sunbathing and if you're lucky, you might see some seals sunbathing on a rock. Lois and Dave are wonderful and friendly hosts. They welcomed us with a basket of goodies. They responded to our questions quickly before and during our stay. We will definitely stay here again.
This property is impeccable and so welcoming. The hosts are very thoughtful. After travelling all over Nova Scotia for many years we just wanted to stay put and enjoy what we love the most: the ocean and the local people! The beach was easily accessible for my daughter who has special needs. I have been to Daniel's Head and The Hawk, but we discovered Stoney Island beach, which was a delight! We painted by the sea, flew my grandson's kite, travelled within a short distance for restaurants, shops, and markets. All in all, a great week in Nova Scotia, thanks to Lois and Dave!!!

Wow! What a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Saying that this is not your typical rental is an understatement. This immaculate beachfront home is the perfect spot to spend time reconnecting with family and friends. Located in a quiet, friendly, community, direct beach access, and wonderful hosts, Dave and Lois. Nothing was overlooked. We arrived to fresh baked bread, home made jam and sweets. Our hosts were readily available but respected our privacy. I cannot say enough here to explian just how wonderful of a stay this was. If your looking for the perfect beach front getaway this is the spot.Thank you Dave and Lois.

Thank you Greg for that wonderful review. It’s such a pleasure when our guests see and enjoy the beauty of our home and the beauty as we do! You and your family were absolutely amazing guests and we enjoyed meeting you all! Enjoy the rest of your summer and if you ever find yourself back in Nova Scotia, you know where you’re always welcome 😊
My husband and I have always dreamed of a stress-free, crowd-free, family vacation that EVERYONE loved. Lois and Dave gave us ALL that, and then some, when we and our 2 daughters recently escaped to their Beach House. This property provided nearly everything you could want and hope for to sleep, eat, relax and play. Lois and Dave also provided several personalized, and very kind touches. In addition to thorough, thoughtful timely replies to any question that came up,all suggestions were spot on.My family and I already miss the soothing hot tub, comfy beds, spotless house, salt air, and the gentle sound of waves as we drift off to sleep. Seven days by the ocean with a gorgeous, clean, private white sand beach, luxurious and convenient accomodations and sharing this with the ones you love can surely sooth the soul.

About the host
Hosted by Dave and Lois Wilson
Always dreaming of owning a property on the beach, Dave and I were thrilled to be able to purchase this property in 2016. We wanted our home to be a place where our children and grandchildren always felt comfortable to come home and enjoy this magnificent property. A true coastal beach home was what we wanted to achieve. So the beach rock fireplace, a weathered beam found directly on one of the local beaches was crafted into our mantel, natural stone for the backsplashes and master shower. Our colour palette were all beautiful seaglass colours, soft blues, aquas and corals. It has been a dream come true for our family.
Why they chose this property
Oceanfront property is very difficult to find in Nova Scotia and when this property came up on the market, we were very excited to be able to purchase it. We are directly in front of a beautiful white sandy beach that is private to just a couple of households. The fact that we could hear the ocean waves, seagulls, watch the lobster boats go in and out of the small harbour and hunt for SeaGlass just steps away from our front door was absolutely incredible to us. It’s an amazing property and we are blessed with 5 magnificent white sandy beaches on this small island that you can literally walk for miles. Some days you may not see anyone else. Truly a slice of heaven!
What makes this property unique
Our home is located across a small causeway on an island called, Cape Sable Island. We are on the southern tip of Nova Scotia. What is absolutely unbelievable about our island is that there are 5 large white sandy beaches all within a 10 minute drive from our home. Each one of these beaches are unique and all have a different feel. Some you will be able to hunt for SeaGlass, another you can collect beautiful pieces of driftwood, one where you can sit and watch great sea lions basking on the warm rocks and one that is a bit more secluded than the rest and is an adventure all in itself! And the amazing thing is that these beaches do not include the private one that is directly in front of our home!
