Welcome to Desert Cool — a mcm retreat in iconic Vista Las Palmas. This three-bedroom home blends classic Krisel design with contemporary luxury. Enjoy a heated pool, mountain views, gas fire pit, and seamless indoor/outdoor living anchored by a chef’s kitchen. Comfortable, thoughtfully curated furnishings and art-filled interiors invite serious lounging. When you’re ready to explore, top restaurants, shopping, and hiking trails are just a half-mile stroll away. Desert Cool — modern comfort with mid-century soul.

Each of the three bedrooms feature a comfortable hotel-quality mattress and luxury linen. The primary bedroom features a king bed 50-inch HDTV with cable and streaming apps, a large closet and a sliding glass door that offers a patio and direct access to the backyard pool area. It also includes an en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms, Queen sized beds and and comfortable furnishings, share the hallway bathroom.

Vista Las Palmas was once home to celebrities like Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Debbie Reynolds, Joan Collins, and Kirk Douglas. The original Dinah Shore home, now owned by Leonardo DiCaprio, is just a few blocks away. The Elvis Honeymoon House is also very close by.

The maximum overnight occupancy is 6 adults, 2 kids under the age of 12 years old.

The maximum # of vehicles allowed is 3.

There is NO outside amplified music from any device at anytime. This includes phones, Bluetooth speakers, iPads, laptops, playing the music inside with the doors and/or windows open and if the music can be heard from the street with the doors and windows closed. These are all violations and are subject to a minimum $1,000 and possible removal from the property with no refund or credit.

The registered primary guest must be 25 years of age and will need to provide ID upon checkin.

All adult guests are required to sign the City's "Statement of Rules and Regulations" upon checkin.

The house was fantastic: the layout was nice and worked well for two adults and two kids. The pool was great and the location was AMAZING. Walking distance to the main drag: restaurants, shops, etc. It was easy to check in and check out and when we had an issue (very small issue), the house manager responded immediately.

The property is in a very desirable and convenient location- walkable to downtown and Palm Canyon. Communication and responsiveness from the property manager was quick and helpful. Home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our 2 week stay. The outdoor space is a bonus for dining and enjoying the heated pool. Size worked well for the two of us. Comfy and stylish stay in ideal Palm Springs neighborhood

We had everything we needed, with style. Our host was a great communicator. Made sure we knew how to get in and out, and that we were welcome to text with any questions or concerns. We didn't have any of those because the place is well-maintained and so stylishly appointed, in keeping with the desert modernism of the whole Vistas Palmas neighborhood, which makes for so much fun.

Although the house has been updated to meet modern needs I have also preserved the architects' original aesthetic and vision. Thus, you will find a style that seamlessly blends past and present; mid century heirlooms with contemporary furnishings. This home has been curated with love and many personal touches. Before it was a vacation rental it was my vacation home. It's a place I love to come to relax, unwind, entertain, hike, cook, nap and celebrate the magic of the desert.

The house had me at the spectacular mountain view. The neighborhood is unparalleled. I highly recommend an evening stroll when the landscape lighting turns the front yards into a spectacle of animated succulents and hedges.

What makes this property unique

Josh is the on sight Property Manager and will handle all of your needs once you are in Palm Springs. Within 72 hours of your arrival, he will call you to coordinate your arrival time. He will greet you at the house, provide you with a tour and review the operational instructions for all of the amenities in addition to the rules and regulations for the City of Palm Springs.
