About this property
Charming Charleston Home in the Heart of West Ashley
Our charming Charleston home is a quaint three bedroom, one bath, home that is nestled on a quiet double dead end road in the heart of West Ashley.
The house is close to some of West Ashley most revered eateries (Home Team BBQ, Swig and Swine, Triangle Char & Bar, Pearlz, R Kitchen, Taco Bartina, Mex 1, Poke Burri, Mellow Mushroom and Taco Bartina to name a few). Some of which are within walking distance! There are two parks in the neighborhood and access to the West Ashley Greenway, which is a walking and bike trail that weaves through West Ashely within blocks of the house. If you are looking for a cold beer, or some nightlife you do not need to go far. Within blocks of the house you will find The The Garden by Charles Towne Fermentory (family friendly beer garden), Home Team BBQ (live music and be sure to try a Game Changer), and The Tin Room (dive bar with live music). A mere 3 minute drive will get you to Avondale Triangle, a West Ashley hot spot. Avondale Triangle has something for everyone with family friendly restaurants (Al Di La, Triangle Char & Bar, Mello Mushroom, and Pearlz), coffee and dessert stops (Highfalutin Coffee Roasters) sports and dive bars (The Roost and Genes Haufbrau) and a wine and cheese bar (Avondale Wine & Cheese). Cooking in is made easy with access to a Harris Teeter, Publix and Whole Foods within a 5 mile radius.
Accessing some of Charleston's many amazing features is made easy by the house’s location. Downtown is a seven-minute drive and The Charles Towne Landing is even closer. And of course, you will have to make the 20-minute drive to The Edge of the Earth, our famous Folly Beach! NOTE: If you park roadside on Folly be sure all tires are off the road to avoid getting a ticket!
The house itself was built in the 80's but is newly renovated and sits on a quarter of an acre that is mostly fenced in and shaded by a huge neighboring oak. Each bedroom features a queen size bed and accessible closets. The newly updated kitchen feathers a gas stove and is fully stocked with cookware. There are two televisions (Living Room and Spare) with Rokus, and Google Home and Wifi. There is also a charcoal grill and a firepit in the back yard for those nights where burgers and smores sound yummy. The backyard is completely fenced in, and private, great for fur babies to run off some energy.
Please note: I am trying to get the "Hot tub" removed from my listing... there is not one :-(
Also- Message me about shorter than 3 day stays! I will be open to them if the house is available!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean and cozy. The linens were thick & the bed was comfy. The kitchen was well stocked. Our dogs loved the big fenced in backyard! The neighborhood was quiet & we felt safe walking our dogs. The house was centrally located with easy access to downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant, local beaches, & Edisto beach. Krista excelled at communication and was so kind…she knew we fled the ice storm & potential power outages in NC, & she let us know we could extend our stay day by day (at a great price) if needed! We highly recommend this property & hosts!
This house was perfect! It had everything that we needed. A great back yard for our dog, xomfy bedrooms and cozy family room. We will definitely stay here again!

So glad you enjoyed your stay!! Please come back any time!
The home was cute, clean and had all of the necessities! About 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and 25 from Folly Beach. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to restaurants and grocery stores!
Absolutely wonderful. Houss is supee cozy, clean, comfy and great location. Communication with hosts was super quick and easy. They went above and beyond fir us. HIGHLY RECIMMEND
A friend and I came for a long weekend for a girls weekend and this cute adorable house was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. Great location and close to lots of great restaurants and easy to get downtown Charleston, Mount Pleasant and the beaches. We are already talking about planning another trip soon and will definitely book here again!
House was neat, clean, and comfortable. Good location, close to restaurants, shopping, and beach a short drive away. Great fenced in back yard for pets.
The house was perfectly clean! The neighborhood was quiet (it’s on a dead end street which is nice) and it worked great for us! The rooms are small, so it was a little tricky navigating getting ready but it was no big deal. Short drive to downtown and easy to get around! Would absolutely recommend this spot!
Our girl trip to Charleston was made even sweeter by staying at this comfortable little blue house. It had everything we needed and was extremely clean and comfortable. It’s in an older neighborhood but was very quiet and felt very safe. There are good restaurants, nearby and it was so convenient for us to visit Charleston each day we were there. Krista was very accommodating and quick to answer whenever we had a question. Highly recommend Krista’s place!
We had an excellent stay. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. Check in was quick and easy as was check out. Very clean and well stocked. Very mich appreciated the gorgeous backyard tjat was fully fenced for our fur babies to enjoy. Thank you!
Our host was very accommodating to our arrival schedule. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our 2 pups to run and have fun in. The cleanliness of the house was above reproach. And the bed was so comfortable!
Felt very safe walking our dogs in this neighborhood, only a couple blocks from a park. Going downtown a very easy quick drive, lots of grocery store and restaurants 5-10 minutes away.
Nice backyard, rooms wereclean. Shops and restaurants very close. Host ask for paper work on my service animal. She legally can not ask for that in the State of South Carolina. She wanted a pet deposit of 150.00 dollars. She looked up the laws and told me she didn’t realize that she couldn’t ask for paperwork.I was not happy about how that was handled.
Overall we had a great stay in a quiet neighborhood. There is not a lot in the immediate area but you can walk a mile to the main road with some basics. It was also very easy to get an Uber to anywhere we wanted to go like downtown etc. very close the the airport which was also nice. The house was clean, check in was easy and we had no issues.
The perfect little house for my parents and younger brother! The backyard is huge with a pear tree but the mosquitos are very bad so make sure to have bug spray on always! Everything was in a 10-15min radius with restaurants and shopping. House is tucked in the back of a neighborhood but there’s reno’s and new homes being built! Lovely little home
My husband and I , along with our dog , stayed in this cute house for a week. The house was very comfortable and well decorated. It is also an easy drive to downtown Charleston. The kitchen had everything we needed. I loved sitting in the backyard, which is huge. It was so peaceful back there and there is a beautiful live oak tree in the neighbors back yard. Our dog loved that back yard! Krista even brought over a small table so I could work my jigsaw puzzles.
We traveled with our 2 dogs for the first time. We traveled through the night to avoid the heT and arrived in Charleston at 6:15 AM. Check-in wasn't until 4pm. We were so hot, with nowhere to go with our pets. Our hostess was as accommodating as she could be, but I was near a heat stroke, and very worried about my older dog. About 15 minutes before we were allowed in, at 3 ish, it rained. We just got wet. It saved me, 65 and reco ering from a year long breast surgery gone wrong. The rest of the weekend went well, as expected with a birthday celebration and beach time with the pups and our granddaughter,s first trip to the beach.
Our stay was largely positive. The roof didn't leak, the plumbing was good, the electricity functioned properly, the backyard was large, there was effort in the interior design of the house, there was no odor, the utensils were clean, and the house was spotless.Unfortunately, the bedroom that shared a wall with the living room had two problems: the bed was very uncomfortable (likely due to a mattress which lacked any firmness) and the floor under the bed buckled in a spot that appeared to be deliberately hidden. Further, the smoke alarm near the bathroom sounded even though we followed all instructions regarding the use of the bathroom. Future guests should know that the door should remain closed well after the shower has been used so that the steam can have more time to dissipate before entering the hallway directly into the sensors of the alarm. Most annoyingly, the Wi-Fi gave us issues. While viewing shows via Roku, the internet disconnected several times and took a dozen or so tries each to connect again. What we found most helpful was to disconnect the modem for at least 5 minutes before connecting it again and trying once more. Needless to say, we did not visit Charleston to watch television. But at night, when winding down, we attempted to enjoy that feature and found it difficult on 2 or 3 occasions.

Thank you for the feedback. We were alerted via text the day you stayed that AT&T was having internet issues across Charleston. I should have made you aware of the notification, but did not, and for that I am sorry. Regardless, it is not something I could have avoided. The fire alarm continues to be an issue and I am looking into solutions. I am sorry it went off while you were there. The bed preference is also something I cannot avoid but I will address the floor buckling. It is not hidden on purpose, that is simply how we arranged the room. This house is old and it has the original hard wood floors. There are several areas where they are imperfect but I don't want to lose them as their age is part of the charm of this old cottage home. The floors, like me, have some extra cracks and wrinkles, but are perfectly functional. ;-)
