We have stayed at the Sand Castle III for several years. This unit was clean and a great space. The access to the pool was a game changer! We really enjoyed our stay. The property manager was terrific and lucky was able to accommodate one of our needs very quickly. Would definitely stay again even though it was a touch more expensive than the other units.

Beth is a great host! This is an awesome condo with personal spiral staircase to the pool and beach. Condo is well appointed. Kitchen fully equipped. Beds super comfy. Beach towels provided as well as beach chairs. The balcony has a nice lounge chair and ample seating for six. Great sunset views. Indian shores is a lovely area with many great restaurants close proximity.

Fall Break 2023 at Sand Castle III Room 203

This property has a great location and very nicely equipped. Beds were comfortable and furnishings were more than what we needed. The best part is direct stair access to the pool and beach. We will stay here again.

We had a wonderful visit. The view was exactly what we were looking for, nothing was obstructing it. The spiral staircase was also the best!! The kiddos loved it and we loved that we didn't have to carry everything through the building. Easy pool access was the best. We didn't see many places with this type of stairs so we definitely used it a lot. The beds were pretty comfy, and we were able to DoorDash to the room, that was pretty nice. The people and the area were very nice and friendly. We will for sure be back!!! Our only complaint which isn't even a complaint but it was super tricky to park in the parking spot, we sometimes had to have someone watching outside the car for the space was tight. All in all we enjoyed it.

Very nice condo

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Everything was great. The only negative was no ceiling fan in the master and the one in the second bedroom didn’t work.

Context: We stay 2 condos down normally and our booking got canceled due to construction this August. The price is very similar and the condo has a beautiful beach and view. The location is quaint; not too busy so we come down at least twice a year for the last 10 years. This condo was bare minimum and smelled of mildew when we walked in. Linens were sparse, no extra blanket for the kids, no fan on the lanai, the guest bathroom tub backed up during showers the last 2 days, no beach chairs or umbrella that were usable. Parking spots were really tight with larger vehicles as well. The lanai is right on the pool which can be good for access but bad for privacy we found. The staircase is very small as well. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable with nice sheets, lowering the air conditioner temperature helped some with the smell and the hosts were pleasant and responsive and did bring damp rid, changed the air conditioner filter and added air fresheners since no other unit was available when we asked.All and all, not horrible but we wouldn't return to this particular unit.

We're sorry that you were disappointed with the condo. Upon arrival you indicated all was as expected. The next day when you mentioned a mildew odor and we promptly had someone come to address the issue and took proactive measures even though no odor was noticed by maintenance. Nobody asked about any extra blankets as they were available if requested but in August there is typically not a need for more blankets. If you had mentioned a tub back up while you were there, it would have been handled immediately. The cleaner who was in there just hours before your arrival didn't mention any odor or tub backup. The condo is as advertised with a private spiral staircase down to the pool and beach area; most people realize that spiral staircases are smaller than a typical stairwell. The parking space accommodates our Chevy Tahoe with ample room and you were told you could park in a guest space if you preferred that to parking under the building. No beach chairs or umbrellas were ever promised and you were told we don't provide them but guests occasionally leave them for others. We throw them away as they deteriorate so no one gets injured by aging equipment. Prior to yur visit you were provided information on a company that rents chaises on the beach right behind the building in case that was something you wanted to consider. There was not a ceiling fan advertised on the balcony, nor is there one in the pictures. It's a shame you didn't have the trip you imagined. Maybe your dream place will be ready for you next time.

The condo was nice room wise. Didn’t particularly like being on pool deck. Noisy all evening. Swimming until 1am. A lot of noise in surrounding units! The area was beautiful. Would go back, just to a different unit.

Upgrades needed...

We have stayed at Sand Castle 3 many times over the years, including this unit. It needs a deep clean...lots of dirt on walls and doors. The unit itself needs upgrading. We rented 3 units total this trip and they were all in need of cleaning and repairs. Overall, we were disappointed in the condition of the units. But the area and the beach were wonderful.

We would have certainly sent the cleaners back to take care of any concerns. This is the only condo is Sand Castle III that we handle so I can't speak to the other condos you are mentioning in the building. Would stay again

We really thought the area was perfect and would stay in Sandcastle III again. We also had some family in Sandcastle II and they enjoyed their stay as well. I really appreciated having the spiral stairs directly to the pool deck and parking - very convenient especially when grilling. Pretty tight to carry beach chairs up and down but we managed just fine. I liked that it was a smaller building and never felt crowded. They have a closet on the balcony that is filled with random beach stuff so a little unpredictable as far as chairs go. They had one beach chair and a camp chair. Comparing to other properties we have stayed at, you will need to bring more trash bags and figure out your own coffee - they had a Keurig and a regular pot but no pods. Not a big deal. could have been a little cleaner but I'd still say 9/10 overall. Caddy's across the street had just re-opened and was fun to hang out.

great view, staircase to pool is so convenient, quiet and not crowded beach, beds are very comfortable. Could use a couple more towels, some extra trash bags, an iron would have been helpful, rooms are hot but there are fans in closets. Master bedroom could use a ceiling fan and some lights other than lamps. Would be nice for pool to stay open til about 10:00. We enjoy night swimming or a least sitting in pool and hot tub. Great stay overall. These things would have made it even better.
