Your host
Fell in love with this neighborhood and this house almost 30 years ago and I have rented it out every summer ever since. I love introducing my summer tenants to this best kept secret of a neighborhood - many have bought houses in this area after spending a summer at my house.
Why they chose this property
Terrific for walking/hiking/biking. Amazing hiking and mountain-biking trails just down the road. Water views within easy walking distance. Swimmable bay beaches very close by. Close drive to markets and the towns of East Hampton, Sag Harbor and Amagansett, once you have a map of the back roads. Friendly neighbors. All kinds of wildlife. Awesome stars at night.
What makes this property unique
I find this to be a very friendly and safe neighborhood, brimming with beautiful views and easy access to everything the Hamptons has to offer. My house is very private, on over 1/2 acre, but close to neighbors so it never seems isolated. It is a cottage-type house, but packed with all the amenities.
