About the area
Gulfport
Gulfport is home to this cottage. Travellers eager for a bit of culture can stop by Salvador Dali Museum, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore St. Petersburg - Clearwater Beaches and Tampa Bay. Splash Island Water Park and Polynesian Putter are also worth visiting. One of the cleanest places I've ever stayed at. In walking distance of cute little shops, entertainment for the evenings and the beach. The host was very attentive to any needs we had. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Had a comfortable stay for the weekend!! One thing that needs improve is to put up dark linen behind bed in Pineapple bedroom, the light monitor outside kept light on and off through the blinds that annoys my beauty sleep :-)
My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and could not have been happier with Gio's cottage. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic, lots of walkability, friendly neighborhood. 10/10 we can't wait to come back! Thanks for everything Gio!!
The cottage was a perfect stay for us snowbirds! Just the right size! The property is kept up beautifully and only on block from the beach and one block from shopping and great restaurants!! Gulf Port is our favorite small town in Florida and Gio and Tiffany and The Cottage just made it a more special place for our winter stay!
Gio was amazing in terms of communication. The property location was perfect, just a couple blocks from the water and also from Beach Blvd. The unit is a great combo of authentic original Gulfport cottage and also a nice partially rehabbed condo like feel. Updated kitchen and bathroom were great, and two full bedrooms were plenty for us. The bathroom is a small but not unexpected given the property. Overall, we loved it and would absolutely stay here again.
It’s cute and nostalgic to take a walk down memory lane when someplace you visit stirs up old memories. My college apartment in Tallahassee in 1967 was likely built in the ‘40s like this house. The old style door knobs, wood floors, hallway with lots of doors, small bathroom… I loved it! Of course the modern kitchen, central A/C, great mattress, snacks/water were welcomed additions in the “present” and loved the stucco finish on the walls. This location was quiet but very near the restaurants and watering holes in Gulfport. We had a nice walk to breakfast at Stella’s. Gulfport is a cute town and Gio made it easy to enjoy his property. He is an experienced host and good communicator. The parking under the carport made unloading/loading the car a breeze. It was the perfect size property for two active grandparents (and with me still working the desk was perfect)! Thanks Gio!
Such a great little beach cottage. This property is impeccably maintained and nicely decorated. My friend and I booked this months in advance and we we’re not disappointed in the least.
The property manager, Gio, was available at a moments notice. He was friendly, helpful and anticipated our every need. There was fresh coffee in the canister and chilled water in the fridge.
The fully equipped kitchen was ready for cooking. Plenty of places to sit and eat. We loved the high top eating bar area. We sat in the front vestibule in the morning to drink our coffee. There are TV trays available to use anywhere in the house. We utilized every available space and enjoyed the local Main Street. Plenty of food and drink options available around town. My friend is Vegan and we had no problem finding options we could both enjoy.
Gio gave us many ideas for activities around the area. St. Petersburg is only a 7 mile Uber ride away. We walked all over that area and enjoyed a drink at the rooftop restaurant at the end of the pier.
Overall a fabulous place to stay for a quiet getaway. I will definitely stay here again sometime soon.
