JP LUBYS ORIGINAL HOME! This home is ICONIC! The vibe is exceptional. This beauty sits 2 homes off of Ocean Drive!! Enjoy staying right on the bay without any of the loud Ocean Drive traffic! This home offers 3 fully furnished bedrooms with two full baths, an ample sized kitchen which opens up to a beautiful living room and even a formal/ofc! Huge Yard! Large covered patio w/ a wrap bench! Perfect for enjoying the bay wind.
Close to downtown. Short drive to the beach.

Very pet friendly home, please note that the fee is Per Pet, Per Stay.

Absolutely NO EVENTS allowed. No loud noise is permitted on the property (i.e. music, outside noise, etc.) If we are notified of a noise complaint we reserve the right to have guests removed from the property with no refund.

WEDNESDAY GUESTS - Please note that if you are a guest at this home on Wednesday, we ask that you bring the trash bins out to the curb as the city picks up trash on Thursday morning. If you are still in the home on Friday, please pull cans back in. Failure to pull trash cans out will result in a fee of $75.00 as we will need to pay to have someone remove and discard the trash from trash cans.

GRILL USERS: Please help yourself to the grill! We do not provide charcoal but it's often available since most guest leave it behind. If you use the grill it is required that you clean it prior to check out. Failure to clean the grill will result in a fee of $75.00 as we will need to pay our cleaning service extra for the cleaning of the grill. If you arrive and the grill is dirty, no problem. Just send a text w/ a picture of the grill and we will address the issue.

NOTE: This home is sprayed by Fox Pest every month, however it is located near the bay and because of this, guests might see a water bug or the occasional roach. Please Do not reserve this home if water bugs or the occasional roach will ruin your stay or cause you to leave a bad review.

NOTE: The home has a security system that will be disarmed prior to guests checking in. The security system does come with a camera. The camera remains active during the entire stay but is located at the exterior of the home, pointing to the street and is enabled by movement. The home has NO OTHER CAMERAS. There are no cameras inside the home.

NOTE: The driveway is old and has cracks throughout. Please do not book this home if this is a concern. Walk with caution as there are a few areas where the cement is raised. Driveway is also very steep and can scratch the bottom of low/small vehicles. Street parking is available if this is a concern of yours. You are welcomed to park on the driveway and/or on the street.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Tuesday guests must bring the trash bins to curb as the city picks up trash on Wednesday morning. Failure to pull trash cans out = $75 fee.
Please clean the grill if you use it. Failure to clean grill = $75 fee.
Checkout is 10:00 AM unless otherwise approved. If you would like a late checkout please request 24 in advance. Failure to leave on time = $200 fee

Great location to everything!

The location of this house was perfect for our weekend with our daughter and son-in-law! Close to everything including shopping, restaurants and bay. The house is an older home but the owners have thought of everything to make it comfortable and welcoming. Thank you!

Great house! Close to beaches and dining.

Great stay and close to the island campus where our son will be in the Fall. Also close to several beaches, restaurants and shopping. My only suggestion would be to bring beach/folding or lounge chairs if you want to sit outside. Only a couple of chairs on the patio.

Great place

We had a couple of issues and they were addressed immediately. The house was roomy and spacious. Location was amazing there were multiple parks near by including a couple of docks and piers to fish off of.

Close to the beaches ⛱️

My family enjoyed our stay! It truly was a home away from home. An HEB grocery store is not too far, so shopping for groceries/essentials came easy. The buttons for the lighting/opening AC vents took a few minutes to figure out, but nothing too hectic. I'm still willing to vacay here again!

Escaping Kansas Winter

This nicely decorated house with a spacious kitchen provided us also with a large fenced-in backyard for our dog. We enjoyed having two bathrooms close to the primary bedroom. Once we found the router for a quick reboot, the internet connection was good. Heating and AC worked well and was easy to control. The house has beautiful wood floors and new ceramic tile in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms. It was a good location to the city and various beaches, and we met friendly neighbors when we were out walking the dog.

Older home with modern amenities

This was such a cute house! You can tell it was a little bit older, but the owners have done a great job of adding in modern touches. Wireless phone chargers and tower fans just as examples. It very close to the ocean. I just wish it was a little closer to the actualy beach. However its just a short drive. Overall it was a great place to stay

Family comfort

Came to Corpus Christi to enjoy some time with my children. We got to go to Comic-Con 2024. The home was tony enough to provide space for creativity and wonderful time cooking. The big kitchen had plenty of pots and pans. The best night sleep in a long while! The bed were wickedly comfortable! If you want a good night's sleep, this is the house you want to stay in. Great House Close to the Bay

This house has a lot of charm. So close to the bay and downtown. It’s an older ranch style home with lots of comfortable spaces for families. We like it really cold in our own home. The a/c is nice but could have been colder. That is strictly a personal preference. A huge plus for us were the fans everywhere. New appliances in the kitchen and was fairly well stocked. Beautiful back yard with birds in the morning to greet you. Be careful of the driveway. It has a lot of cracks so watch your step. Washer and dryer was a huge plus and there is also a stand alone freezer for extra ice and things. But overall a beautiful older home we would come back to again and again.

A very comfortable stay!

This house has a very comfortable vibe to it, it felt like home. The property is spacious and layed out nicely so you have lots of room and don't feel cramped. It's off the main road so it's very quiet yet located just a block from Ocean Drive and has convenient access to everything we needed. Contacting the host was easy and they were very responsive in helping us figure out the door lock. The only problems we had was there were no hand towels in the kitchen and only a partial roll of paper towels, and each bathroom had partial rolls of tissue on the dispensers and only one extra roll of toilet tissue available between the two bathrooms. We used bathroom hand towels in the kitchen and unrolled half the toilet paper roll to share between the two bathrooms. Minor inconveniences of necessary items. Other than that the stay was perfect and we would definitely stay there again!

Not perfect but, excellent all in all. Location was great, very safe and close to everything Corpus. House was clean, beds comfortable, eat in kitchen very nice ( no toaster), the rest of the furniture was ok and sparse. Drive way is horrible, huge cracks and a big dip as you enter. Cars will bottom out entering. The electrical is a puzzle as most switches do nothing, backyard lighting didn't work, they said they would fix, but never showed up.

This is a spacious 3 bedroom home with plenty of room to spread out. We loved all the window seats and pillows and blankets that made our stay very cozy! The eat in kitchen was a great space, but plan to bring everything you need. Basic pots and pans are available. Bring a cooler for ice if needed as the ice machine in the fridge is non working. The location right off Ocean Drive was perfect for early morning walks. While we didn’t use the back yard space this time, we would definitely consider bringing our fur babies for the fenced in yard and covered patio. Bring your own lawn chairs if you want to enjoy the patio. As this seems to be a newer rental option, there are a few things being added or worked out but The owners were very responsive to our needs and very easy to work with! We’ll be back!
