Everything from start to finish was really great. We contacted the host and they immediately got back to us on check-in process. The area is beautiful if you’re staying in deer isle or want to go to Bar Harbor
The property was very well appointed, clean and conveniently located to downtown Deer Isle. We had a very enjoyable stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the living area was very nice. Would highly recommend this rental if your plans include visiting Deer Isle.
We loved our stay at the cottage! Joanne was very welcoming and accessible. The cottage is on a quiet road, with all windows looking out over beautiful natural wilderness where you can see deer roaming. Very peaceful and serene. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need for an island getaway and is clean and well-maintained. It's also in a great location, very close to the town of Deer Isle and just a few minutes drive to Stonington. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back for another visit! Thank you Joanne.
Cottage was cozy and extremely clean. Nice decor with thoughtful touches like fresh flowers on dining table. Close to most scenic locations. Not much surrounding view or proximity to convenience store.
This cottage was perfect! VERY clean and decorated nicely. I enjoyed the coffee maker and assorted coffees. It was also very generous of the host to leave us plenty of water bottles in the refrigerator. I highly recommend this cottage.
Quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed our time at this location. It’s just over an hour drive to Bar Harbor/Acadia, but the drive is beautiful. Deer Isle is a great location as well. Only issue was a 4-am false smoke alarm that started blaring one night. Otherwise our stay was great!
This is a lovely, quiet property with woods behind. Nice to sit and watch the deer in the morning and enjoy nature. Close to Deer Isle village and about 15 minutes to Stonington. Everything is very new and very clean, everything you need for cooking is there and the bed is really comfortable.
This small home was perfect for the two of us visiting friends on Deer Isle. It had everything we needed, including a Keurig coffee maker and pods. The gravel road and slightly sloping grassy entrance was a bit hard to navigate cleanly on the one really rainy day we were there. Overall, we had a wonderful stay in this charming community.
This is a very clean, well kept cottage in the woods. Very peaceful, we saw deer everyday! Very updated and great towels, sheets, etc. Only about half a mile off the main road. Our family loved this charming little cottage. So much better than a motel! The owner responded promptly and even left fresh flowers for us on the table. We would love to stay here again and would highly recommend it!
Looks like a brand new cottage, super cute decorations, even had a bouquet of fresh flowers on the table and complimentary Waters in the refrigerator. Definitely off the beaten path, had trouble finding it but the owner was very quick to help me find my way.. awesome communication. Convenient to everything and very peaceful and clean. Highly, highly recommend staying here
We feel fortunate this immaculate comfortable cottage was available for our week stay on Deer Isle! It is very nicely furnished & well-eqipped to meet the needs of its guests. The owner paid attention to many little details that made our visit enjoyable, relaxing & problem-free! The cottage is easy to get to on a nice quiet side road close to the village & all that the area offers. Thank you for making our visit to Deer Isle special with such a lovely cottage to call home during our visit!

We spent two nights in Deer Island. The cottage is a new construction and nicely done. The kitchen was fully equipped and appliances are new. The queen bed was ver comfortable. The setting is in the forest and we saw two deer meandering through in the afternoon hours. We appreciated the quiet..
It was very clean and probably a very new rental. As we have stayed in many VRBOs over the years I left some suggestions. A booklet containing pamphlets about what to do in the area, restaurant suggestions, a local map of Deer Isle. Perhaps some snacks in a basket.
My husband and I LOVED our stay at this adorable and updated cottage on Deer Isle and we would not hesitate to stay here again. The property is very well appointed and the owners have gone out of their way to include many lovely touches and amenities - everything from plush bath towels to throw blankets for the sofa (which come in handy as Maine can get chilly), extra blankets for the bed, usb outlets in the bedroom, keurig coffee maker (and even kcups and paper travel cups), and water in the fridge. They seem to have thought of everything! Preparing meals was a breeze in the kitchen, thanks to the great setup and supplies.
It was such a relaxing and serene setting and we would start our day enjoying nature while sipping coffee and watching the wildlife (We saw a mama deer and her newborn fawn, other deer as well, coyotes, birds, and squirrels to name a few).
We would highly recommend this property! Those visitors who comes to Maine only to see the ocean, should take a moment to turn around and see the beauty that the forest, and this property, have to offer.
