"We have had the perfect ...
"We have had the perfect holiday in this lovely, well maintained house, set in a nice tropical garden with a swimming pool, and part of a gated area. It is situated in a very quiet part of the island, much less build up than the south (dutch) part.
It was ideal for the children, who could enjoy both the garden, and the nearby easy access to the sea (mostly for snorkeling, as there was little sand there, but with lots of fish to see in the rocky areas not far form the closest access).
The house is decorated with taste, and very well equiped, but for us the view was the major asset, with the famous "Ile Pinel" right in front of the house and we were always looking forward to the meals taken on the terrasse!
You will need to have a car to go to a proper sand beach - a few of the best ones are a couple of miles away- but this is not a problem, as all beaches are different on this island, and we felt like visiting a different one each time! There are also plenty of very good utility shops around, a nice and modern supermarket 1 mile away, and the famous "grand Case" restaurants are only 2 miles away!
After 10 days, this really felt like home, and if we return to St Martin for another holiday (which we all hope), we will definitely go to the same place!"
