This was truly a little slice of paradise! From the location to the uber comfy bed to all the thoughtful amenities…it was, hands down the best Vrbo we’ve EVER stayed at!! We were sad to leave and could have stayed another week. It’s also in a terrific location for visiting the Ark and the Creation Museum!! We will definitely book this amazing place again!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lakehouse. It was quiet, peaceful, and felt very safe, giving the kids plenty of room to run around and play. The beds were extremely comfortable, and it was clear the hosts had put a lot of thought into providing everything guests might need. The complimentary kayaks were a wonderful bonus and added to the experience. One of our favorite memories was watching the fireflies light up the grass and trees in the evenings—it was such a unique and beautiful sight. We also spent a lot of time relaxing on the front porch and down by the water, where the kids loved trying to spot turtles. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Peaceful Stay

The house was cute, good size for 5 to 6 people. The lake was peaceful, we enjoyed kayaking and the firepit. It was conveniently located between the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.

Great location!

The location is perfect for visiting the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. The lake views from the front porch are also perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of creation. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. The kayaks are an added bonus and provide opportunity to explore the peaceful lake.

Family Trip

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was super clean and very inviting. It is a perfect location for visiting the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter as it is an easy drive to both yet away from the busyness too. The kayaks were a wonderful addition as all of us enjoyed some time on the water. It was a great trip for all of us.

Lake House

We stayed on the porch A LOT, and the kids stayed on the lake whenever we home. We wanted to visit the Ark Encounter but also enjoyed the stay at the Lake House just as much!

Exactly what we needed

Excellent location! Close to the Ark and Creation Museum. Being on the river with use of kayaks a huge plus. We were able to visit local attractions, cook evening meals with a kitchen stocked with cooking essentials and enjoy sitting on the porch or fishing the river. Was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 small dogs. I would 100% stay here again!

Nice property

This was a great location. We loved being right at the water! The house was nice but could use a few updates bathtub and shower head. The property owner was very nice and always responded promptly. We will stay again if we come back to the area. Thanks for the good memories.

Relaxation!!

This is a clean, cute little house! Super close to the Ark. Kayaks were a definite PLUS! I will miss reading my book on the porch and enjoying the view. And when the day is through, they had the SOFTEST sheets and blankets EVER!! Honestly…look no further, this is your house!

Quiet little getaway

Beautiful property and very responsive owners. We did have an issue with the wifi (no real cell service so needed wifi in case of emergencies) but our hosts took care of it as promptly as possible. Beds and pillows were really hard so I spent a night on the couch and the outside could use better lighting. Its on a timer so you have no control of front porch light. So once its out... its very dark. Which was a little disappointing because I like to get up really early and read my Bible on the porch and watch sunrise or sit and relax at night a bit after everyone has gone to bed and its quiet. Other than those few things everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again... would just need to bring a memory foam pad for the bed but some may prefer a really firm mattress. It was very clean and has everything you need. I wpuld recommend this place. Quiet neighborhood with friendly people!

Glad you enjoyed your stay! We're planning to get the solar lights switched to manual, but that puts us at the mercy of guests that could lose the remotes :/ Our wifi is very fast and stable - this was a one-off situation that was out of our control but was fixed quickly. Mattresses are "medium" firm - I'll be ordering some removeable mattress foam pads for those wanting a softer topper. We've got quite a few compliments on how comfortable they are (I've shared the links with other guests) - that is very personal so doesn't hurt to have options. Thanks for your feedback.
