About the host
Your host

I am from Neenah but spent a large part of my youth at my grandparents' in Waupaca and my great aunt's place on the Chain. My parents moved back to Waupaca when I was in the Navy so coming home to Waupaca was something I always considered a real blessing. I recently moved to this property and live on sight but some distance from the cabin so if you need anything I should be available to help. I feel I am incredibly fortunate to live on this property and look forward to sharing it with folks who enjoy the simpler things and want to get back to nature in a more civilized way. I think this cabin would be great for everyone but particularly young families that want to enjoy nature.
Why they chose this property
The location is in a sparsely populated area consisting of oak and hardwood stands as well as plantation pines. It is quiet and dark (I've seen the northern lights several times now) and while not often seen during the day there are bobcats, fishers, porcupines, and and occasional bear. It is not unusual to hear the coyotes howl at dusk and, of course, deer and turkeys are abundant.
What makes this property unique
It is quiet, peaceful, serene, and affordable.
