Me and my two teenage children stayed for two nights. It is very cozy, but still better than a hotel room. The kitchen was convenient so we didn’t have to eat out for every meal. The ski in/ski out access was perfect and made it so easy.

We enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the views and the wood fireplace. Shayla was extremely helpful. Everything was nice and clean.There is no closet or dresser. That was really the only issue, but not a huge problem.

Relaxing and Rejuvenating - We loved it!

Upon our arrival the room was cute and cozy! We relaxed on the corner deck where we could watch people swim and take in the beauty of the mountains. The room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed listening to live music after dinner on the grounds of the Lodge and even played some cornhole. Just one little glitch was the lock on the door but the owners were prompt to help us through that (the lock may need to be changed though as it took a few tries each time with the code). Minor inconvenience that was not a big deal. Overall, excellent place to stay and we will definitely be going back!!

Excellent VIEW in end unit! Ski in/out!

We have stayed at several condos in the Caribou Highlands building. By far, this unit had the best VIEW because it is an end unit. Views out our balcony were of Lake Superior & from the side window a view of the mountain. The ski in/out access is just steps from the unit. We have rented from this property owner several times in the past and every time have had a top notch experience. Very organized with all the info you need to access property, use of amenities, etc. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy Lutsen! Enjoy the amazing view from this condo!

This was a well-appointed condo, and I was very excited at first to stay here. The condo had everything we needed and was clean. Unfortunately, the mold was another issue. When we walked into the hallway to the condo, there were fans blowing in the hallway. There was a musky smell, and you could tell the carpet looked wet. The door to this hall was propped open. When we went into the condo, there was a large water stain in the corner by the couch. I could tell I was reacting slightly with ear itching and scratchy throat. We had the windows and sliding glass door open and spent most of our time outside. But on Tuesday, it started to storm, and we had to shut everything up. I then had a huge mold reaction. I slept in our van that night. I am very concerned that someone with a compromised immunity or lung issues would have a serious issue on their hands if they stayed in this building. The mold and water damage have to be addressed.

Caribou Highlands is uniquely positioned on the mountain as a ski-in/ski-out resort as well as it's proximity to everything outdoors. Located close to some of the best hiking trails the north shore has to offer, biking trails, golfing at Superior National, the North Shore Winery is 1/2 mi down the mountain, and some of the north shore's best restaurants all within a few miles.
