Property was clean and comfortable, convenient to downtown/airport. Could use some board games/books to provide something to do when hanging out. Host was quick to respond to any issues. Definitely would recommend this place.
Had a great experience. Close to everything you want

A little too rustic
The listing said it had a rustic, historic vibe. I wouldn’t describe it as “historic” in any way. Everything we needed was there except a clean fresh feeling.
Comfortable, good place to base from. We were able to view northern lights from porch. The neighborhood was quiet, right in old Fairbanks and walkable for groceries and restaurants. Jeff was very responsive to any inquiry.
Great communication with host, and Jeff was also accommodating enough to let us extend our time by a couple hours.
I did face issues with the WiFi, however - I'd planned on working from there but the wifi was pretty poor. Bit of a pain point, but everything else was absolutely lovely.
Apartment was very clean and easy to locate. Check in and check out were great. Kitchen could use a few more utensils to cook with and a few more pots and pans.
Not a complaint, just an FYI for the owner, one of the backs on the bar stools is beginning to break.
It was a good vrbo, the price was great, and it was pretty clean and we slept comfortably. the couch was super comfy and it was close to walmart which was nice. The kitchen could’ve been better stocked but oh well

how do i get in?
getting into my unit was eventful. i reviewed check-in instructions (see pic). no lock at the front door so we went around the back where i found a lock box to the left of the door, as advertised. the code didn’t work for me so i asked my son to give it a shot and it still didn’t work. shortly afterwards a man looked down from the deck above and noticed we were having trouble so he gave us a different code to access the unit. i assumed this was either the property owner or manager. once we were in i submitted a comment to through the app stating that the combo didn’t work but the guy above us gave us the “new” code. after a period of time i got a call stating there was a mixup and i was supposed to be in the upstairs unit, which was clearly occupied. i told him we were good since its just for one night. later he called me back and said the upstairs folks were in the wrong unit and that a cleaning person let them in, and he said the folks upstairs agreed to swap units with us so it would “save me money on cleaning since i’ll only need to clean one unit not two” i thought to myself, are you kidding me? they have clearly been in their unit longer than we have so i’m sure they’ve already made themselves comfortable, used the toilet and probably the bed for at least a nap. This is clearly his problem not mine. ALSO, as you can see from the check-in instructions and pics; nothing indicating a 2nd floor unit, instructions should mention this. he passed the blame to an app update
Very convenient location. We had a great trip. There was no phone number provided so there was no direct way to communicate with the owner/manager except through the app/email.
