5 Stars - Overlooking Rosario Resort - Pet Friendly

Location! Location! Location! immaculate home with water and marina views in the heart of Rosario Resort community.
This open plan home was completed in Sept 2010 and has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a loft.
Designed with families in mind it has a bunk room and a ping pong table. 2 of the bedrooms have KING size beds and are en-suite.

The ground level comprises of a ping pong table and reading area, an en-suite bedroom with King size bed and the washer and dryer. 2 sets of french doors open to a deck with an outdoor shower.
The upper level is home to a modern open plan great room with huge Bi-folding doors which can be open in the summer to bring the outside in, or cosy up to the large gas fireplace when it's chilly outside. Also on the upper level is the modern fully equipped kitchen.
There is another en-suite bedroom with king size bed and a kids bedroom with 2 set of twin bunk beds. The great room is overlooked by a huge loft area which is equipped with TV/DVD and 2 day beds. A perfect spot for the kids to hang out and watch movie's.

Pool towels are provided if you want to utilize the heated outdoor pool at the resort.

Rosario Resort is a 2 minute walk from the house, where you can find the marina, outdoor pool, convenience store and cafe. The Moran mansion is open for museum tours and a indoor pool and Spa.

Moran state park and Cascade Lake is 5 mins away and the shops and restaurants of Eastsound are just 10 mins away.


If you don't want to take the car ferry, the seaplane from Seattle lands at the Rosario marina which is an easy walk from the house. Alternatively you can come by boat and dock it at the marina.

Spectacular view. The home was very clean and well equipped. The upper deck fully opened wich gave complete deck access. Sleeping areas on all three levels. Fire pit was easy to access down below. The family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Family Spring Get A Way on Orcas Island

The property was amazing. We especially enjoyed relaxing together in the great room with the 4 wide patio door open to the deck. The view from the deck of the harbor was wonderful. Plenty of space for the 6 of us to gather and find our own area too. We enjoyed the firepit area as well.Questions were answered promptly by owners. Lovely Quiet Season Respite

We so enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace, big view and proximity to the resort in this home. Great big lounge spaces, ample bathrooms and fully stocked kitchen were great for hosting our two families together. Our second visit and will do so again.

We loved our time here! I had the pleasure of celebrating my 40th birthday with family and friends. The view, the deck, the high ceilings, the three separate living spaces for different activities, the ping pong, the location! The house is well-equipped, and the host was very responsive and kind. Fantastic Visit

We had a wonderful visit! The house is spacious, clean and well maintained. We all commented that it had the most well-stocked kitchen of any rental we've stayed in. Beautiful home, great location and perfect for families.

This is perfect family rental with an incredible view of the sound on every floor. It was clean, bright and well-equipped with everything you need to cook, play and stay together. There was lots of space to sleep and spread out. We enjoyed the ping pong, the pool, the shuffleboard and the many of the parks and beaches, especially the Crescent Beach. We found the jumping bridge, alpaca farm and the we gorged ourselves on fresh oysters and clams. A great location where a good time was had by all.

Beautiful Location

Loved the house. Lots of room, comfy beds and sofa, well stocked kitchen. Beautiful deck. Pretty view. Very close to Rosario Resort which wasn’t opened when we were there. Close to Olga, Mt Constitution and Eastsound. The oven was a bit tricky but we figured it out. Gorgeous place to just hang out. There were only 2 of us and my small dog but it would be ideal for a family as there were 2 sets of bunk beds in one room, a fire pit for s’mores and a ping pong table. Went to several good restaurants in Eastsound and Buck bay. Best clams at the Buck Bay shellfish farm. If we stayed longer, we would have bought something from their fish market. Would have liked to stay longer. Enjoy your time here!

This was a magnificent stay over Christmas. The views are lovely. The house is well-appointed and cared for, with sufficient room for people to come together and be apart. The house and owners have very kind consideration for pets. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of usable equipment and even basic ingredients. The owners are very communicative and care for the experience. This was a lovely stay in a nice/quiet house in a pleasant location, full stop.

The house is located just a stone throw from the Rosario Marina. The marina has a restaurant, a place to rent kayaks and go whale watching. There are some trails that will take you up to Moran State Park and Cascade Lake. The week after Labor Day was so quiet and peaceful. It was a perfect place for our family.

We live in Portland Oregon with our 4 young children. We moved to American in 1995 from the UK and fell in love with the Pacific North West!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Orcas Island during a trip 20 years ago. 10 years ago we purchased the land on this amazing lot and set about building our dream vacation home. We wanted to build a house that our 4 children can grow up with and we can build wonderful memories in. One day we would like to retire here.

What makes this property unique

This place allows our children to have some of the freedoms we experienced growing up. Exploring the resort, searching the beach for pirate treasure and swimming until your skin turns wrinkely. We love to feed the deer at the door step, walk around the marina and chat to the boaters, visit Cascade lake (5 min drive) and kayak, sunbath and swim. Kayak around the bay. Visit Eastsound. Hike the many trails around the island.
