This cottage is a tiny old home that has been remodeled. The kitchen is cute, beds were okay, and living room furniture a bit worn. It worked for us for a one night stay.
My husband and I took our friends from Dublin on an Arizona Road Trip and this was the perfect place to stay for the four of us! Easy check in, very clean, loved the way it was decorated, we just loved everything about it! We will definitely be staying here again!
I've stayed at other properties in Flagstaff owned by Rich before. The Beaver Street Chalet is a wonderful home in a great location. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and convenient location. The next time I return to 'Flag', I will be sure to book another stay at one of Rich's homes.
Great property, location and responsive host. I reached out regarding missing kitchen supplies and host replied and acted right away with more than I asked for.
Overall good stay with some minor issues that didn’t necessitate any immediate fixes. Cooking utensils weren’t clean, McDonalds trash under the bed and random dirty Kleenex in several rooms, and there was someone else’s dog poop left in the yard.Very small space that worked okay for a shortish visit but the baby’s pack and play had to go in the closet and the suitcases in the MBR bathroom which forced the whole party to use the second bathroom exclusively. It wasn’t until the last night we realized the MBR shower didn’t work.Excellent location to get to/around downtown Flagstaff and the observatory. Also, easy to travel to nearby attractions. Rich was easy to work with. With some attention to housekeeping could be a great stay.
This place is very small, but very cozy! If that is what you want then it's perfect. Only issue I had was with the parking. This property has 2 homes that sit on it. There is spot designated for each home, but only one spot unless you park behind the people in your party. Not ideal for 2 cars per home. Also, this is no fault to the owner, but the people staying in the other house at the same time did not leave enough room where they parked to let us out. They had 2 vehicles parked in their designated spot (one parked right behind the other) and the second vehicle was too far over that we couldn't get our 1 car out. Otherwise the house was very clean and well equipped with everything. And the property manager was great!

About the host
Hosted by Richard
My wife and I live in Phoenix and frequently travel with our two little dogs. We bought this home in Flagstaff because we love the historic pre-war charm and location in the center of things – we are close to downtown, NAU, and all the hiking trails. We enjoyed fully remodeling the home, putting on a brand new roof and installing central air conditioning and heat, all new cabinets, countertops, and appliances. We hope that you enjoy the home as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
The NoHo neighborhood is a special place. We like eclectic pre-war neighborhoods with restaurants, shopping, parks and trails within walking distance. This neighborhood meets the criteria and then some.
What makes this property unique
It is unique while also offering the creature comforts of fast WiFi, Smart Samsung TVs in the living room and bedrooms, modern appliances, air conditioning, fireplace, Adirondack chairs outside around a fire pit, a charcoal BBQ grill, and picnic table inside the fully fenced yard.
