We will forever keep this property as an option when we are staying in Mars Hill and need our own space. The pictures do not do justice of how spacious and gorgeous this home is! The view is amazing and the sauna just adds an extra level of luxury. We can’t recommend enough!
This spot is magical. I already loved the Weaverville and Mars Hill area, but this spot made me love it so much more. This property was clean, and so well maintained. The property owner is so sweet. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone that’s good to be off the beaten path and enjoys the mountains.
Nice downstairs unit with large covered porch. Unit was stocked with all the necessities including french press for coffee. The dry sauna on the porch was very clean and relaxing.
I have stayed at many, many vacation rentals over the years. Some great; some far from it! This property was one of the best and exactly as described online! Every detail was thought through to PERFECTION! With a daughter in college nearby, you can bet I will be back!
Arrived late at night, drive way was well marked. A gentle descend down lit steps merged into a beautiful wood porch with a Sauna, hammock and seating. Upon entry to the unit we found it most appealing, clean, comfortable temperature and definetly had a creative womens touch. Furnishings were like new, the bed was very comfortable and the unit was quiet. Amenities were all there for easy use. Definetly would stay there again. Owner communicated very well if I had questions. Two thumbs up!
We absolutely loved our stay! It’s the perfect mix of chic and rustic, comfy and cozy all around, with a GREAT kitchen, comfortable bed, spacious living room area, and the view from the porch is SPECTACULAR! My wife and I can’t wait to come back!
Fantastic mtn retreat. If you are looking for a tranquil retreat in the mtns this place is it! The interior is exactly as shown. Very well appointed kitchen with all the extra condiments and spices to make cooking a breeze. Bed was sorry comfy and i loved how quiet the space was (next to no noise from above resident host and extremely quiet outside). Loved the covered back porch! And the interior layout and details are exceptional.
I will DEFINITELY be back!
We love it here! Second stay and we will be back. Love the porch.

Things left out in description of property
My husband and I were on our honeymoon when we rented what I would now call an attached apartment style space. When I rented I was expecting to arrive at a tiny apartment style home. The space is more like someone’s bottom floor of their home. I had no idea when looking at the pictures that we would be sleeping below someone else’s floor. There is a door next to the desk in the pictures that I assumed was a closet but that seems to be the door that leads to the upstairs home. This door is locked from the renters side. I personally did not like that this information was left out. The fact that others actually live in the home at which you are staying. My husband and I slept there that night being we had no where else to go. You could hear everything that was happening in the home above you. The next morning we left the home letting Jacqueline know we were not coming back and why. I have asked for our money back for the two nights that we would not be staying. We sadly haven’t gotten a word back about it. I understand people are ok with this type of stay but it was not what we wanted nor do I feel like it’s ok that someone would not put that in the description of their property. Only to find out once you are at the home.
This was our second stay at the property and it was perfect again. Beautiful view, very clean, and convenient to our favorite little mountain towns. Thank you!
This was a great home base when visiting family: gorgeous view from the deck, with a good kitchen setup and fireplace. Be warned that it's as remote as advertised; it's closer to Mars Hill than Weaverville, really, and about 30 mins from downtown Asheville. Responsive hosts and a sky full of stars at night!
We loved staying here very much. Would do it again. The property is gorgeous and the bed was extremely comfortable. The interior is well decorated. Kitchen was well equipped.
What a great place to get away in the Mountains! The view form the large deck is beautiful and we enjoyed eating breakfast in the crisp fall air. The interior is decorated in the perfect blend of rustic and modern and is very well equipped for cooking, entertainment, and relaxing. The location is far enough off the beaten path that it is peaceful and quiet with huge night sky views, yet only 15 minutes from a couple nice mountain towns. We took a day and drove up to Johnson City as well. What a wonderful place to stay and Jackie was very helpful and accommodating. We will be back soon to stay again.
This is a lovely property and has everything you need. Well appointed with wonderful private deck for morning coffee and a gas fireplace for mountain evenings. Jackie was very accessible and communicative during the reservation process and our stay was very quiet and private. 10 min from Mars Hill with easy driveway access and parking for a mountain home.
This was the perfect getaway for the two of us. Everything was clean and modern. The porch was perfect for morning coffee, and the view was amazing. Wonderful property. The photos don’t do it justice.
New place very convenient to Asheville or Weaverville. Has everything you need and is roomier than it looks in the pictures. We hiked and celebrated the 4th of July when we stayed. Probably should have added a day to our stay. We will be back...
Beautiful view and quiet. Nice layout and very comfortable. We used the kitchen which was clean and stocked with cookware. Definitely would stay again.
If you want off the beaten path, this fits the bill. Nice, quiet apartment with great porch. Kitchen well stocked, good size bathroom and comfortable queen size bed in the bedroom. Easy 20-25 minute ride into Asheville
