This was a last minute booking, but everything was great in the location. The books and maps on things to do in the area were much appreciated. Overall, a cute, clean place to stay. Kids would love the room with the twin beds!
We came for a long weekend before an upcoming surgery to get some relaxation. The beds were comfy, the house was clean, super close to Dupont.
The back yard was gorgeous, but it’s on a main road so definitely will hear cars driving by if outside.
They have done a great job with this vacation property!
We picked this location for my son’s birthday. All he wanted to do was fish. The pond was more of a puddle and there certainly weren’t any fish in it. Otherwise our stay was good.
Our stay was wonderfully relaxing. The backyard pond is its own kind of magic from the crystal clear water to the sound of the natural spring, it is the perfect spot to relax.
The fire pit was ready for our s’mores and the house had everything we could have asked for.
Even though the property sits on a fairly busy road there is no noise and we all slept really well.
Closely situated to DuPont park (go hike the waterfalls), Fawn Lake and Julia Lake - both amazing for fishing.
On your way to Hendersonville, stop by the farmers market and get some boiled peanuts from Buster. You are not going to regret it.
Overall, we had the most wonderful week. Can’t wait to go back.
We loved staying at Crab Creek.
Pros:
Less than 15 minutes either way to Brevard or Hendersonville.
The pond and creek had the perfect atmosphere.
Comfortable beds and linens; plenty of towels and household supplies, cookware.
Kids play area, toys and games were well appreciated.
Super quick and friendly response from Corey the two times we had questions.
Cons:
House is very close to the road. There is a fence for privacy, but there is still the noise and the traffic to worry about, especially with little kids.
Lots of knickknacks that kind of took away from the cute decor and that needed to be kept out of little hands.
Knives very dull, if you plan on cooking, maybe bring your own.
Instructions on how to enter the property were a little unclear but solved with a phone call to management after failing to figure it out on our own.
