Nature & Environment One of the most memorable parts of staying in a Broken Bow cabin is being surrounded by nature. Because this property is located in a wooded setting, guests may encounter wildlife and seasonal elements during their stay.
Deer, squirrels, raccoons, turkeys, and other native wildlife are commonly seen throughout the area. The cabin is professionally treated for pests, though occasional insects such as spiders, mosquitoes, beetles, ladybugs, or wasps may still appear, particularly during seasonal transitions or rain.
During spring months, pollen from surrounding pine trees may collect on outdoor surfaces despite cleaning efforts before arrival.
Keeping doors and screens closed whenever possible helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment throughout your stay.
We encourage guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings while remaining respectful of neighboring cabins and the natural environment. Sound travels easily throughout the forested area.
What To Bring We recommend bringing groceries, condiments, cooking oils and seasonings, personal toiletries, coffee and creamers, bug spray for mosquitoes and ticks, ice, and firewood with fire starters for the outdoor firepit.
Starter Supply Details Housekeeping provides a limited starter supply of essential items, including:
• Toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags • Hand soap, dish soap, and cleaning supplies • Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash • Dishwasher pods and laundry detergent • Coffee supplies (pods, grounds, filters, creamer, sugar) • Hot tub chlorine for guest use as directed
These items are intended to get your stay started and are not restocked.

Family Vacation in Broken Bow
We enjoyed our stay at wandering pines. It was great for our family of 6. It had so many things to keep the kids having fun and enough space for everyone without being crowded. Everything was nice and clean when we arrived.
Cleanliness was okay, could be a bit better and more detailed. Overall upon entry Cabin smelled good but Master restroom had a mildew smell and I am guessing it was from the floor rug needing shampooed. Kitchen window sill had dead bugs and dust. Couch and curtains had stain marks. Cabin was roomy and comfortable despite the small items needing addressed. Beds are tempurpedic, which I am not a huge fan as they were hard to me and uncomfortable. Location and lot of Cabin was nice we enjoyed the large patio and Blackstone grill as well as the hot tub. Overall I would give our stay an 8 out of 10. Nice Cabin.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the location, roomy layout, large patio, Blackstone grill, and hot tub.
I’m sorry the cleanliness fell short — the mildew smell in the master bath, dusty window sill with dead bugs, and stains on the couch and curtains are not acceptable. We’ve passed these items to our housekeeping and maintenance teams so the rug can be shampooed, surfaces cleaned, and upholstery/curtains evaluated and treated. We also appreciate the feedback on the Tempur-Pedic mattresses and will note firmness preferences for future improvements.
Thank you for the detailed comments and the 8/10 rating — we hope to host you again.

Family Time in the Pines
My family of eight with grandkids had a fantastic time at Wandering Pines. S’mores on the fire pit and breakfast on the Blackstone grill, was great. The secluded location where the kids could play in the back yard while adults watched the college and NFL games on the back porch was awesome. Plan on booking again. Thanks for the memories!!!!!
We loved this home for many reasons but the main thing that drew us to this property was no stairs leading into the front door and off to the back deck/firepit/playground area. It was so nice to not have to worry about out little kids falling down stairs. The location is perfect and property is well taken care of. We would easily stay there again.
